I'm just configuring a new 64-bit Windowns 7 Home Edition system. I'm running FSX and Flight1 Avidyne Student. This worked fine on my old Windows XP system, but now I have issues:

- The CD does not start automatically (as it should), and trying to launch install.exe manually gave a computer crash.

- I still have the 1.0.4 update version as exe file (besides the CD). So I tried this. Avidyne Student did install, but when running it, I'm getting a failure message saying: "Flight1 Avidyne Gauge - Unable to open the Flight1 FSAvidyne Gauge INI file, no filename found in the panel.cfg file." - Then comes a hint to use the FSAvidyne Settings Manager to configure / customize the Gauge, but this doen't work either.

Question: Does Avidyne Student run under Windows 7?

Would it be better to use the new product, FSAvidyne? Does it have the same fubctionality compared to Avidyne Student? Will it run with Windows 7 and FSX?

Thanking you,

Greetings,

This particular forum is for the entertainment version of the Aidyne that is available from Flight1 for FS.  Please visit http://www.flight1tech.com/forum/default.asp and register there for support of the training/familiarization product that is available from Flight1 Technologies (the serious side of Flight1).  If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me via private messenger.
