Certainly I misunderstood something, maybe I didn't read the manual thoroughly enough, but:
Whenever I design one of my panels, I then need to remove all "position" and "window_size" (hope I remember correctly; I'm not at my computer now; it's the "window" statement 2 or 3 lines below "position") statements to avoid the windows to be improperly sized. I understand that these keywords handle the aspect ratio for different screen resolutions. For me, they never worked. I have 1024x768, and by completely removing them, I get what I need. Leaving them in the panel.cfg gives me squeezed/mis-proportioned instruments/windows. The best for me would be a check box in FSPS to switch the generation of these keywords off. It's painful to step through a cfg with many windows and delete the two lines for each single window if only a minor change was made in one window: FSDS re-creates the lines automatically. And: is there a way to get the [views] section created with only a view_forward_dir statement in it (and a method to define the bank/yaw/pitch values for it) directly in FSDS? Andreas |
