    Posted: October-27-2006 at 11:44am

Until now,we have receive some suggestion on mig-15,so we decide to make service pack for it.when service pack online,I will notice on sim websites and this simforums.

The service pack will contains changes:

1,Redrawing skins.fix texture bugs reported.

2,Reposition some parts on mig-15bis series and ft2/cs102/sblim2 series

3,Correct russian gauge tags.

4,new documents and paintkit.

5,resize gauges, make it smaller than current one.

the changes above will going to complete done on this week end.

And,  some other changes must be tested ok or failure,we are not sure if it can successful in modify,if it  is successful,we will merge the below modify to service pack:

1,Add  real 3d nails and canopy hatchs on cockpit frame(this is most chanllenge on 2-seat aircraft, will meet polygon limite in gmax when export to fs,and still lack resource on cockpit hatch handle in both 1-seat and 2 seats versions)

2,We also try to find a way to make a joint setup for both fs9 and fsx,so it would be one setup replace two setups, reamins less than 140 mb.

Any suggestion and helps is welecom with many thanks!.

We are also want to make things below, but have no way find out

1,funtional back view mirror in xml gauge format,or in gmax xml part defines

2,funtional flare shots (4 different color in gmax xml part defines)

3,sound on xml gauges and gmax xml part defines.

4,gunfire effect can be actived at spot view in fsx.(now can be actived at cockpit only)

5,drop tanks, bombs releasing ,ejecting from aircraft can be active at spot view in fsx(as above)

1,Add  real 3d nails and canopy hatchs on cockpit frame(this is most chanllenge on 2-seat aircraft, will meet polygon limite in gmax when export to fs,and still lack resource on cockpit hatch handle in both 1-seat and 2 seats versions)

Has test failed in exporting models from gmax to fs

details shapes add to cockpit frame cause our mig-15uti reachs 62300 polygons. We try to export it one piece...failed.Then,we try to export it to 2 x.files(just a standard role when aircraft or scenery have many polygons)...failed too.

So,we have to find large, clean, right focus position pics for cockpit frame, inside mig-15 cockpit and outside, then we can paint details on cockpit frame textures.

Any news on the service update. Any exprected date for release. And are your new textures part of the service update or released seperately?

All the best

real 3d nails test

3 problems:

1,looks like horrible insect`s head,

2,this nails on canopy and cockpit frame cost 8000 polygons,so if add them on 2-seat uti aircraft, will cause export to fs error

3,but,if we paint nails on cockpit texture, the canopy top sections will have

deformation,nails looks like line

any idea can do this part better? please post or e-mail to me.

Hi Bill,

Thanks for the answer. I'll be looking forward to it. Those pictures above look really great! I'm very curious about the line effect you mention when painting the nails as a texture. Perhaps you should combine both solutions. 3d on the singelseat and painted on twinseats?

Rob
