I downloaded the update for the 18222 build and ran the installer, now the program won't work?

What error message are you seeing?

What version of Windows are you using? Intel or AMD CPU?

Did you see any error messages while upgrading?

Hi Ed, windows XP-sp2, AMD Athlon 3200+

No error messages at all, the update reported a successful patch. just that the exe fails to exe! I double click, a patience egg timer appears for a split second and that's it. I tried reinstalling from the original wrapper (successfully) sent for a new key which arrived in seconds, and tried the update again but with the same result.

It still works fine as 18222.

We have discovered a problem where our optimized code would not run correctly on some AMD processors. We have posted a new version, Build 20204, which should fix this problem. Please upgrade to this version and let us know if you continue to see problems.

Avian, glad to see you have managed to solve this. I am still awaiting a new key from the "automated" system. I have opened a ticket and after 4 tries where the automated system says a key was sent (But it was NOT!), I am getting a mite frustrated!

Make sure your spamblocker or email client is not blocking emails from Flight1.  You can run an email test to make sure:

Hello Todd,

I tried the get link version, received the link via email right away, downloaded the .zip and it was corrupt. I have zero problems with other sites or receiving attachments. <sigh> These wrapper services only hinder legit users. The hackers break them and enjoy the program and we have the problems Dead

EDIT: Received the test email from the above link..... What now, lol??

EDIT2: Received another email with the key file and it unzipped alright. now it's telling me that the last 4 digits of my credit card are incorrect. What next! Wrappers SUCK! Angry

EDIT3: Requested password info, and have now found out that it is NOT the last 4 digits of the original credit card used, but the last 4 digits of the original phone number. NOW the key is useless as it says it was used to many times. I GIVE UP!

If you got to the F1 website you can get your lost passwords (last four digits) sent to you, but if you already tried about six times with various credit card numbers then it may have deactivated the key file, no worries there is also a link to reactivate it, you get sent another email with a link in it. The link has a long code at the end with a hyphen (dash) in it, if this is seprate from the link then cut and paste the whole thing inot a browser. otherwise the reactivation does not work (guess how I found that out!)

It is a rather longwinded and somewhat complicated process, but also is quite efficient, I got my emails back in seconds, so although it took a lot of clicks, it did work fine in the end.

Hi Avian, see my EDIT3, lol! I have given up.

I'm a programmer by trade, and have always despised these type of things. I'm now inspired to write a panel editing program of my own which will be released on AVSIM or FlightSim free of charge.

The reason it is the phone number is that all sales that used a legacy ecommerce wrapper did not have automatic key features. So all of these were updated so the automated systems can work.

Everything is automatic and can be recovered from nothing if the following rule is true... You have a valid email address on an order.

1. You can get the order number (with other order data) emailed to you.

2. You can retrieve the password.

3. If the key is over its limit simply reactivate it yourself.

All this would work via these links...


So use the second link to reactivate it! Enter your ordernumber, email address, and that password.

If you have problems with that, you can private message me with your order number and I can reactivate it manually.
