Number 4, LIPV San Nicolo, Venice is also correct and the strip of land is of course the Lido.
These locations are obviously too easy for you. The location of number 2 is still outstanding. Stephen ![]() |

I think the 1st aircraft is a B26 Martin Marauder. And the 2nd aircraft is a Pilatus P2

Betampona has got location 2 correct, LIMG Albenga.
Phil (peebee) has got aircraft 2 correct, the Pilatus P-2-05, Google F-AZPK Pilatus for pictures. http://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/134881/f-azpk-private-pilatus-p-2/ LIMG Albenga airport on the coast in NW Italy also very close to the beach resort of Alassio which is where we usually stop over. Albenga airport can get quite busy at certain times of the year as it takes spill over traffic from Cannes during the film festival and also during the Monaco Grand Prix. Stephen ![]() |

At least the first aircraft has made you think. Is the first aircraft that has stumped everyone?

Is the first plane a De Havilland Mosquito perhaps with a slightly adjusted glass nose?

First clue for aircraft number 5, the glass nosed aircraft.
It was used as a French navigation and bombing trainer. Stephen ![]() |

Was it from all my experience of building Airfix kits as a lad, no I don't think they modelled this one lol. That upper centre frame on the nose was hard to match.
All along I was thinking WW2 American medium bomber. I'm sure the French Airforce were still using them in Indo China. Good one that Stephen ![]() Phil |

I think this is the exact same aircraft that I photographed at Abbeville, here being displayed at the Paris Airshow,

For those interested in vintage and other flying machines here is an excellent site,
http://www.flyingmachinestv.co.uk/pages/videos If you follow the YouTube link there are several great videos. There is also a marvellous one hour video showing off the aircraft in the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bV7nFXhL8QY Stephen ![]() |

Quick Quiz ...
We enjoyed a very well attended AeroExpo UK 2015 at EGBK Sywell Aerodrome, Northampton, yesterday. It took us just as long to queue for the runway as it took to fly back to EGBN Nottingham Tollerton. We met Richard (OpusFSI user) at Tollerton after for a cup of tea and a nice chat. Getting ready to depart at Sywell as the queue for the runway extends down the grass taxiway. Finally airborne and departing Sywell for EGBN Nottingham Tollerton. It took longer to taxi to the runway than it did to fly home. Can you identify the turboprops in the following pictures ... 1. 2. Such things are what dreams are made of. Stephen ![]() |

I'd say that No.1 was a Kodiak Quest.

When I flew back from France yesterday they had the RAF formation fliers in Lyon. Counted at least 8?

The Red Arrows have a busy schedule and train nearby at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire. There should be nine of them plus a spare.

Captured the Vulcan bomber just after we exchanged a wing waggle. The Vulcan was giving its air display at RAF Cosford, seen here preparing for another fly by. We were returning from a trip to the Food and Flying Festival at Shobdon aerodrome. See also,

I was at RAF Cosford a year ago when the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight C47 Dakota did a fly past in honour of the veterans of the National Service (RAF) Association Parade. It was so cool to see men of my Dad's vintage (Dad was a former RAF National Serviceman) marching to the parade ground. Certainly made me feel proud of these guys.

Flew up to Sherburn in Elmet EGCJ this afternoon from Nottingham Tollerton EGBN. Intercepted the Flying Scotsman steam train near Selby and flew along with it as it approached York. Lots of people lining the route especially at the bridges.
