Here's the Opus team ...

Cheryl ready to depart on the home leg across the Channel, I've been told to apologise for the hat, it was a hot sunny day.

Myself (the bald chap facing you) with Kevin and Rick after landing back in England (Andrewsfield) at the end of a French trip. The usual fry up to restore our cholesterol levels.

Can you name this aircraft ? An easy one for a starter ...

Where are we ? We have just taken off, a fairly easy one for our French simmers ...

It helps to like vintage aircraft - the sort with the fan at the front rather than the heater at the back !

PS. Was the aerial shot Rheims ?

Not Rheims, you're flying too far off to the east.

At a quick guess, I'd say the yellow-nosed old girl is a Messerschmitt Bf-108.
Might need to revise that guess :)

If that is a Bf-108, it's a strange one. Tricycle gear? I thought all 108's were taildraggers... mmm.

It has the same nose, but you might be right. I just assumed it was from the nose and cockpit.

I've got a large collection of photos from touring around Europe, I will have to prepare another quiz for next week. The location ones might be the more difficult.

Missed it in real time. Think I got most of the warbirds, missed the staggerwing and ME 208 I thought it was a 108 as well.
Good stuff

I agree OLDflyboy, it looked a bit strange, but if it had been in the usual livery it would have been too easy.

The Me 208 confused me completely.

I will prepare another quiz soon it was quite good fun.

Well done betampona, you got both correct.

LFMV Caumont at Avignon the home of the papacy in the 14th century.

LFPZ Saint Cyr l'Ecole is a fantastic grass strip airfield at a magnificent location and a great weekend stopover. In addition to the Versailles palace there's a excellent rail link into Paris. A place we plan to visit again this spring time.
