Here are a few shots comparing the default, to new USA Roads. Notice the more accurate road placement, as well as curve details. It is also very likely you will be able to locate the street you live on, or work at, with this product.

Default Asheville

Updated with USA Roads

Default outside Columbus OH.

USA Roads - Notice the new road placement, and how the roads curve accurately.

Going to be a lot easier for those VFR Jockeys to navigate.  All they need now are some highway signs.

Hey Steve, is there any chance you can get another shot of CMH from a 5 mile final for 27L or 27R?  I just want to see how the product has shifted the roads and if things line up better.

Hi Steve,

I wonder if you would post a shot of the Interstate highway which wanders along the north side of Missoula, Montana, USA just east a couple miles and  a little north of KMSO (Missioula, MT).

FS2004  has this interstate too far north on the mountains.  It looks like a roller coaster track rather than I-90!

Product looks very impressive.

Thanks,

Larry

This product is incredible! I just checked a couple of the screen shots against their corresponding MapQuest maps, and you can go street by street and name them.

My wallet seems to be opening all by itself.

Hi,

It would be impossible for me to do all the cities you all want shots of. A few here and there we can do though. We would maybe start a new thread. This one is getting long for some to load up.

I guess my question is, what does this do about the infamous bridge problem? Does FS put a bridge where it should be, or does the road end at the river and keep going? Thanks.

I've never had a bridge problem...
In fact, there's more bridges now in FS than there ever were before and most all are even in pretty much the right place.

In my country there never were even major bridges, now they're all there...

I have never specificaly cared about the lack of bridges per se, it was more of an issure of
roads that went to rivers and then no bridge. So I was just trying to get an impression from the developers or beta testers to know if this worked with the fs scenery generatior on this aspect, or if it is still the same ol asme ol from MSFS. Doesnt matter to me either way, as I will end up buying it no matter what the answer is.

The bridge problem has been an annoyance to me.  I live in Minneapolis, MN and there are several bridges across the Mississippi that were there in ver 2002 that seem to have been misplaced in FS9 (2004).  Hope at least the Wakota Bridge in South St Paul is back...

Hey, I used to live in Woodbury, so I have also missed the Wakota bridge...but you know, in 4-5 years, that scenery will be obsolete anyways.

Hello, I notice in both of the overhead shots with airports that roads are going right through the taxiway and runway. That's sort of strange because I always thought that the airport takes precedence over other scenery. Wondering what your take is on this?

Thanks!

I believe the runways and taxiways will be on top always. The roads are not on top of these.

There may be a situation where a road goes under something in real life, or the taxiway placement may be off in FS.

In the case of the picture on approach to CMH, you can just see a road running just next to the parallel taxiway on the "right" side of the airport.  This is totally correct as in real life, there is a road that passes through a series of tunnels between the parallel taxiway and the stubs taxiways that connect the ramp to that taxiway and the runway.  Now all we need is a good CMH that has the Post Office and the terminal done right... :)
