I just bought FSIPanel and I am having issues importing any aircraft. The following message comes up after any import attempt: Error saving your FSX file, please make sure FSX is running with AC loaded and try again. What should I do? I have internet connection with antivirus and firewall off.

Hi Dale, Thanks for your report!

Usually this problem lies with your UAC (User Account Control), did you turn it OFF as recommended?

FSX tries to save a flight in FSiPanel directory but UAC blocks it, result, the file is missing and the error is triggered.

You can try the following as a first step:

  • RIGHT Click on your FSX shortcut and select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. (this should give FSX the right to write file)
  • Start FSiPanel
  • Import your aircraft

If this is not working or if you want to turn UAC OFF as recommended, please follow these instructions:

disable UAC

Please let me know if problem is solved.

Wish you a nice day,

Regards,

I followed what you said and ran FSX as an administrator. I also confirmed that UAC was disabled. Thanks for your help!
