Resizing panel

   I upgraded FSX from my laptop to a pc with widescreen monitor. The panel is HUGE on that monitor. I am manually adjusting the panel  and make it smaller before each flight, but I would like FSX to start with the panel already resized smaller. I guess I have to edit the panel.cfg file? I have never worked "under the hood" of FSX and appreciate any pointers.
