Hi,

I am interested in purchasing OpusFSX purely for the LWE functionality. Before I do though, can someone please confirm what I am led to believe about this software. I am tired of the inadequate way in which other 'weather depiction' software packages update and depict weather en-route when using a flight plan.

As I understand it, if I generate a flight plan in FSX and start my flight (let's say a 250 mile  point to point flight) LWE will work in such a way that I will get real-world, as is current outside my window, weather depicted along the route and it will appear nigh-seamlessly without dramatic changes, clearing and re-loading and with minimal visual disturbance as possible? I.e., if I can see bright clear sunny skies out of my window right now, I will take off in such conditions and if right now, 125 miles away there is a thunderstorm, when I reach that point in my flight I will experience a thunderstorm, and if currently it's snowing at my destination 250 miles away, I will land in snowing conditions?

If anyone using the software can confirm or deny the above I'd be very grateful.

Thanks!

I haven'tried snowing conditions yet but it is yes to all your other questions.  You get what's in the METARS and what's even nicer, what you see in the distance thru the windscreen is what you'll get. It doesn't all of a sudden pop up around you.
The visual disturbance is already minimal and should probably get even better with the new " Weather Interpolation algorithm" Stephen mentioned elsewhere.

Jean-Paul,

Thank you for your reply and comments. It sounds like LWE will do the job then. Would anyone else care to comment on their experiences using the software?

Thanks
