First let me say I'm not IFR qualified (Obviously), and I need a little assistance with doing approaches with the GTN750 installed. Lately I've been trying it with the Carenado Phenom 100 and Bert's panel CFG installed, which is awesome BTW! I've got the approaches loaded and activated but having problems with altitude and glide slope. How do you get the autopilot to follow the approach with glide slope? I have the autopilot on APPR and lets say is a GNAV approach, do I select the ALT key or does it follow glide slope automatically? I cant seem to get it to work, so I must be missing something. The same problem with the Hawker. I would appreciate anyone that can help. Sorry if this is a dumb basic question. Is there any good YouTube videos that go over this? All the ones I seem to find are for the 737's and up. I haven't worked my way up to those big jets yet, still using the business jets mostly.

Thank you,
EricDead

Hi Eric,

The App button should do it - I usually hit App as soon as I capture the localizer... Keep in mind there are different types of GPS approaches - some have vertical guidance (precision) (DA Decision Altitude) - some don't (non-precision) (MDA Minimum Descent Altitude)... For example - look on the bottom of the plate where it lists the altitudes for Staight In - Circling - Etc - if it has "LPV" listed down there it will have vertical guidance...

Regards,
Scott
