Problems with FsiPanel since PMDG 777 Jul.Update

Hi J.P.

Since updating my PMDG 777 to the latest update that was issued at beginning of Jul. by PMDG, I have been getting FSX crash when trying to fly STARs. Sometimes it will just sit there setting up before the pause release stage and sometimes if it does get to release pause, it crashes FSX immediately on hitting "execute" after hitting "divert now" on the FMC.

I did delete my previous 777 from the aircraft in the setup page and set the new one up.

Update: Seems to work on short final practice, but have black instruments and descent to ground on reload of approach. I would also add that FSX passes test in troubleshooting page.

Update 2: Uninstalled FsiPanel and reinstalled - No change.

Update 3: Comletely uninstalled 777, redownloaded latest installers, reinstalled 777. Still won't work and cannot even get to FMC input.

OK further update.

Can get the T7 to initialize, FsiPanel sets up the a/c, pauses the sim and when I unpause the 777, it fly's in the freeze mode as I requested ok. The problem seems to be immediately on hitting that "execute" button in the FMC after requesting "divert now", that is when the sim freezes and crashes to desktop seconds later.

I notice also that I can fly short landing approaches ok but where before, I could reload and repeat for several times, I can only reload the approach a couple of times max after which the 777 loads with all displays black and descends to ground even though my memory use is stil minimal.

Final update, fired up my PMDG NGX 737-800 and works flawlessly on FsiPanel.

Hi J.P. Sorry forgot to mention that I am on a new install of FSX SE on a clean install of W10 64bit in mid June. As for memory use, I can get 7, sometimes 8 reloads out of my PMDG 737 NGX on short final practice as I could on my T7 before updating it on Jul.2 and that is when everything went wrong.

I definitely suspect the PMDG T7 which incidendly they updated again on Jul. 12. Love FsiPanel by the way.

Hi Rick,

I've updated the files for the 777, please try to delete your 777s from FSiPanel and import a new one now.

Try to fly a STAR as before via the ALTN page.

Just import a new 777 in FSiPanel.
The new files are on FSiPanel server and will download when you import the aircraft.

Hi J.P. Further to the above, the 777 will only reload a 4nm approach practice once, on the second reload attempt it loads to black displays and descends toward ground. I could get 7+ reloads on the 777 before the update on my rig. FsiPanel also does not like you changing the altitude to a higher one on the star practice. Often you will get the scenario mentioned above, where you have to hit the brakes to get FsiPanel to hand over the a/c in the pause state.

Just a heads up, PMDG has just updated the T7 base package "again". I am not upgrading my T7 for now as I can at least get my present one working in FsiPanel for practice, but you might want to take a look for yourself.
