Dear EZCA3 users!

We are starting an open beta test of the new version of EZCA3.1.

This version is completely similar to version 3.0, but only compatible with Prepar3D v5!

Version 3.1 is an update for version 3.0, i.e. the EZCA v3 version must be installed in the system.
The new version 3.1 is installed in a separate folder (Program files/EZCA3.1).
So if you continue to use P3D4 or FSX in parallel with P3D5, version 3.0 will load with these simulators, and version 3.1 with P3D5.

Both versions use the same DB with saved settings and cameras. Therefore, when you switch to P3D5, you get all your settings and cameras that were previously configured in EZCA v3.0.
Now, any changes to cameras and settings in EZCA3.1 will automatically be reflected in EZCA3.0 and Vice versa.

Important note!
After installing the new version 3.1, you will be asked to run the EZCA Config tool - this must be done!

Config tool will write new paths for starting EZCA3.1 with P3D5 and configure the simulator.

Important note!
When installing any new aircraft in P3D v5, you must re-run the EZCA Config tool.

This is a file Config.exe located in the /Program files/EZCA3.1/ folder.

Leave your feedback about the work of this version and all the bugs found in this forum thread.

Enjoy your fly with EZCA!

PLEASE START Prepar3D with admin rights !

Please disable Prepar3D v5  "Enable advanced mouse controls" option!

Hi!
Make a video about how this happens. And show the settings in the EZCA "General settings" window.

Hello Nick and Marniftarr,

unfortunately the version does not work for me. I installed it as admin, which apparently also worked. The folder C:\EZCA3.1 was created, finally the installer executed the config.exe. I also have the EZCA VCAM in the menu right click but under Add-on in the menu there is no entry. The EZDO window does not open either.
The p3dV5 camera mouse control is still active.
Installed is a german Win10 version

Not for me either. No menu in add-ons, no functionality.

Awesome job! Works great. Installed it, ran the configure tool, added EZCA3.1 folder to antivirus exception, set EZCA.exe and resh.exe to run as administrator, launched P3Dv5 and I'm back using the best camera tool out there. Thanks for the update.

There is still the issue with the zoom slider in the Camera Control Panel - clicking the arrows at the top/bottom of the slider doesn't register until you then click on the slider control itself (for making fine adjustments), and the zoom value doesn't show in the box. But the slider itself works.

Cheers.

It is normal situation because ZOOM have not value on this panel. You can see value in top-right corner of simulator. (EZ does not know about calculated value in simulator and EZ using internal ZOOM scale)

Ok. But the 2 arrows don't change the zoom until you click back on the slider. All the other arrows (PBH,xyz) all work immediately.

if I start the EZCA.exe manually, it worksBig smile! Thanks for the hint!
I had already set the admin rights for the files, and in Windows Defender the folders were already excluded from the check. Unfortunately without luck...

Hi Frank. It sounds like your exe.xml file isn't correct. It's located in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\. Here's what mine currently looks like:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>exe.xml</Filename>
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>EZdok camera addon v3</Name>
<Disabled>false</Disabled>
<Path>C:\Program Files\EZCA3.1\EZCA.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

The bold text is highlighting the important entries. It should get added automatically via the v3.1 Config Tool.

That means your cameras.cfg file appears to be correctly edited but it sounds like your exe.xml file wasn't (same as Frank). You'll know when you run EZCA.exe after starting the sim. If it still doesn't load, it's either the AV program blocking it or something else that might require a support ticket.

Hi Randy,
this is how the exe.dll looks like in my case:
Note the "dll.exe" in the 4th line:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0">
<Descr>Launch</Descr>
<Filename>dll.xml</Filename>     Shocked
<Disabled>False</Disabled>
<Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad>
<Launch.Addon>
<Name>EZdok camera addon v3</Name>
<Disabled>false</Disabled>
<Path>C:\Program Files\EZCA3.1\EZCA.exe</Path>
</Launch.Addon>
</SimBase.Document>

have changed the "filename" to exe.dll  -  without success.

Possibly the Defender of Windows10 blocks somewhere here. All corresponding files and folders are already on the white list.....
Thanks for your Help

Frank

That doesn't look right. Are you sure that you edited the exe.xml file and not a dll.xml file? I have a clean install of P3Dv5 and do not have a dll.xml file in my appdata/roaming folder. It probably gets created by certain add-ons that require P3D to load a dll file. But I don't see any other entries in yours so something is strange there. Perhaps you installed a different add-on then removed it?

Change the entry to

<Filename>exe.xml</Filename>

and save the file as exe.xml. Be careful you spell these correctly.

I had already changed the entry without success - no entry in the add-on menu.
I have deleted the exe.dll in the folder C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\  .Then I installed ezca again. As a result a new exe.dll was written which again has the dll.xml entry:

 There is no dll.xml file in my folder either.

Guys ! The Prepar3d must be started with admin rights !  Only !
 If not - windows will blocking some API functions like a write to C: folders or acess to registry.

Are you mean that EZCA working when you start it manually after start P3D ?
What happen during P3D launch ? EZ starts but does not working  ?  Do you see ezca.exe process in taskmanager ? Or you do - EZ-File-Exit and start EZ manually or EZ does not start with P3D automatically ?

yakatan

Focus on P3d. Press SHIF+D. Do you see EZCA ? Any EZ icons in the system tray ?

I'm glad it works, but the above correction should be made to the exe.xml file. If/when you have a dll.xml file in your roaming folder, it would contain the <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> entry.

But, it's up to you. Smile

I had a further look at the exe.xml file content issue - if it already exists, the config tool just adds the appropriate EZCA entries. However, if the exe.xml file doesn't exist, the config tool creates it but erroneously uses the <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> entry. You can see this by looking at the config.exe file in an editor.

Nick/Marniftarr, this should be a simple fix. Not sure if it might cause issues in the future.

Randy

Edit: the correct format can be seen in the ProgramData/Lockheed Martin/Prepar3D v5 folder.

Thanks a lot guys.  I've been using EZCA since it first came out.  This version is working great so far in my P3Dv5.  Have had no hiccups so far.  It installed with no problems.  Didn't have to edit anything.  I've never used all functions in the previous versions, but am going to start experimenting with them.

Again, thanks for a great product.

 It doesn't matter which string is written. dll.xml or exe.xml.
All add-ons will be launched anyway.

Hi all. This is 3.1.0.28 build to test.
In this build we deleted automatic import V2 camera sets during first start EZCA. This method give some troubles for EZCA v2 users who wish update V2 to V3.
Now you can import all camera sets form V2 via "Tools - Move all V2 camera-sets to V3"
The DB2 folder and V2  must be exists on your HDD.

I was monitoring the files that EZCA modifies with the Config Tool (cameras.cfg and exe.xml) during the update to HF1 and since I did not delete them when uninstalling the client/content/scenery, those files retained the EZCA edits and I did not need to re-run the Config Tool afterwards (although it never hurts and should be the first step if you have issues). P3D also retained its Run as Administrator setting and EZCA loaded normally on initial launch of P3Dv5 after the update.

I switched to an aircraft that I already had a profile saved for, and the zoom slider worked. I switched back to the F35 (with the new profile I had created) and the zoom slider is now working. I will test a different aircraft for which I currently do not have a profile saved and update this post.

Update: Must have been a glitch. I loaded an aircraft for which I did not have a profile and the zoom slider worked as before. Not sure what was going on but glad it's back to normal. Big smile

Unfortunately, I had the issue again - zoom slider not working. It was on the F35 again, which already had a profile. I don't know if it's just that aircraft since it doesn't always happen. It was the default flight but I reloaded the sim and used the default flight again and this time it worked fine. Wacko

Might be difficult to isolate. I am using TrackIR, in case that matters to anyone.

RRvyper , please send me aircraft.cfg file from your F35 ( A , B , C ) placed in
<installed simulator folder>\SimObjects\Airplanes\F-35A,B,C
I need to see something.
Send me to support@ezdok-camera.com

Also do not forget run EZ configure tool after install hot fix 1

You also need to reset the saved flight from F35 and make the file  again after starting configure tool.

Your actions -
1.install HotFix1
2. Run the configuration tool
3. Delete the flight with F35 and recreate it.

This problem will be if you saved the flight before running the config tool.
I think you installed HF1 and did not run the configuration tool after install. Then loaded Prepar3D default flight with F35 and saved default flight with new name.. Now this bug is in new saved file and will be keep even if you change airplane during  this flight session..

The configure tool fixes the ZOOM problem in F35, but does not fix it in saved flights which made before launch config tool.

Installed P3dv5 yesterday and made my first trial today. From gate to gate I had my cockpit shaking a lot. Outside view is perfectly still and so is other views (FO etc.) in VC.

Hi!
Try importing my 738ngxu camera set and see if the shaking stops.

But before that, show a screenshot with the "Effect Studio" window open when you have a shake.

Hi Matts,

When the plane is loaded for the first time, the camera set is created automatically. This is usually enough, but sometimes you need to make a small adjustment in "Effect Studio".

The cameras that follow the link I gave are my personal cameras with effects that were fine-tuned in the advanced effects processor editor.
They differ from those that can be obtained by default.

I just suggest you try my cameraset.

But I'm also interested in seeing what your setup looks like in "Effect studio" right now. You write that all the effects are disabled, so I also wonder where you have disabled them.

Marniftarr,
I did not initially run the Config Tool after the update as I was wondering if I could duplicate the issue that @sportpilot was having in a previous post. I couldn't duplicate that error and everything seemed fine. I also have not saved any new scenarios, it's just the default one that loads into the startup scenario window when you launch P3Dv5. I DID run the Config Tool later on to see if that could be the problem, but still had the zoom slider issue (only once more, with the default F35). I don't think it's the aircraft since it usually works OK. It's just that I have been using that model the most since the hotfix update, to check out how things in the sim look.
I can still send you the file if you think it will help, but I don't think it will be any different from the one you have. Let me know.
I will continue to see if I can duplicate the problem and see if I can make it reproduceable. Note that zoom is working while the slider isn't, as I have joystick buttons set up for zoom in/out and they continued to work. And as I mentioned, the other sliders worked when the zoom didn't.

HI Nick,

Honestly I couldn't figure out where your camera-set would show up. But I loaded a new variant of the 73, made a complete new camera set and now it works perfectly!

When I recollect, it could be that my old camera set for the 73 was from Ezdok2 and I see now that a special tool was needed to convert those, which I didn't run before.

What I meant with disabled the effects, was that I have taken all sliders down to 0.

Thanks

Matts

Working pretty well for me except I can not map the S or A key on either the keyboard or a button on the yoke. So I can't seem to get to the default Spot View.

Hi!
Look at the manual page 26. It says how to set up a direct call to such cameras as "Spot".

You can also use the" Map of assignments " to assign the A and S keys to change cameras. These keys should be assigned there by default.
Make sure that these assignments (A,S) are removed in the Prepar3D controls settings.

In addition, you can get the default Spot camera via the standard Prepar3D cameras menu. Right mouse button on the screen - select cameras.

All is working for me so far p3dv5 hf1 except.  I am using Active Sky ASP3D beta for p3dv5 and there is no integration into exdoc 3.1.0.28  not sure if this is a HIFI Sim issue or not.

Hi!
The new version of EZCA3.1 with ASP3D(beta) support is already in the closed beta test. Maybe tomorrow we'll post it here for a public test.

New build of the EZCA 3.1.0.30. Added compatible with ActiveSky P3D version 7434.

Note that this is for the Prepar version 5 only. EZCA3.0 for Prepar version 4.5 is currently only compatible with the official release of AS version 7410! Please report any problems with the latest EZCA3.1 build in this forum thread.

Hello
sorry for my English
on the support the p3d version stops at V4 for that I ask my question here
I am on p3d v5 hotfix 1 and EZCA 3.1.0.30 when I deactivate EZCA the camera this moves outside the plane all by itself to infinity and when I am on a view in the plane there are tremors pretty intense I must say it's like its since the EZCA version v.3.1.0.26
Thank you in advance for your answers
cordially

Yes, same problem for me !
...and sometimes the cockpit-view wobbles extremely fast and uncontrolled - as if the aircraft has a seizure ...;-)

Anyone who has uncontrolled movements when the mouse wheel is clicked. Make sure that the "enable advanced mouse controls" option is disabled in the P3D5 settings "

Hello
thank you for your reply
this option "MOUSE CONTROLS" was already checked, and when I click on the mouse wheel and hold down and move the mouse to rotate the view the tremors start again and if I deactivate EZCA the camera comes out of the cockpit infinite
Thank you in advance for your answers

Having some problems with v3.1.0.30. Changing camera views seems to conflict with the default p3d camera views. I've checked that my ezca view changing buttons don't conflict with the ones in p3d which they don't but still going to a weird outside view where I can't look around unless using the mouse like with the default p3d cameras

After last beta update my ezdoc cameras start to get crazy fast with transitions about every 10 minutes in flight than I get a invalid license message.  An ezdoc restart from within p3dv5  and all is fine for about 10 minutes.  I don't think the app is seeing my license file which is is the root directory.

Reinstall thru purchase agent license seems to work but ezdoc not seeing any critical errors and changing views with keyboard is not working even after deleting key assignments in sim, strange stuff.

Paul,
Remove the check mark in the box to disable it. Then, reboot your PC and try again.

When installing, disable your antivirus and run the installer as administrator. Run the updates in this thread as administrator, too. Add the EZCA3.1 folder to your antivirus exceptions and ensure you run both P3D and EZCA as administrator. If you are still having issues, see the bottom of http://www.ezdok-camera.com/troubleshooting" rel="nofollow - this page to submit a ticket.

Josh,
With P3D running in the default scenario (F35 @ KRND), close EZCA (shift-D then use EZCA menu to exit). Test your assigned keys to ensure they don’t alter the view. Restart EZCA as administrator and test. Report back what you see.

Are you using any weather engine? Also, P3D has its own turbulence effects which you can disable in Options/World. If you global disable EZCA via the P3D menu, do you still see the issue? Finally, make sure you save the camera set when you try a new aircraft or livery.

Hi, All!

We are currently trying to figure out why some users have conflicts with mouse control that cause them to shake even when the EZCA effects are disabled.

Our assumption is that this is due to a conflict of Controls settings in Prepar5 and Controls in EZCA v3.1.
When installing in Prepar4, EZCA v3.0 checked and corrected about 30 conflicting settings of Prepar4. When switching to Prepar5, this list has not changed, although the number of Controls settings in Prepar5 has changed and increased compared to Prepar4.

Therefore, I suggest that everyone who has such conflicts EZCA v3.1 and Prepare3D v5 an experiment.

In the Prepar5 Options Menu - Key Assigments - Export your Controls settings (so that you can return them later). Temporarily Import my Controls settings.

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hntlB4D_zwH3hrgiZ8TjivpvHVmRVa0m" rel="nofollow - https://drive.google.com/open?id=1hntlB4D_zwH3hrgiZ8TjivpvHVmRVa0m

Check the behavior of the EZCA v3.1.
If the view`s problem doesn't occur again, please report it here.

Then we will be sure of the cause of this problem and step by step checking all the settings for managing views and cameras in Prepar5 we will be able to create a new list of P3Dv5 Controls assignments that need to be fixed.

Thank you all!

Pmdg NGX 737 VC Cockpit jitter,vibration after some manipulations of MM button and scrollwheel during panning and zooming. After every new startup the cockpit is steady, but after a while it becomes jittery when using MM button. To make the story of all my efforts short : to overcome the problem, I set in General Options  Hide cursor when middle mouse button is pressed to OFF. Still the cockpit is jittery during the time the MM button is pressed and becomes steady after releasing the button. Looks like there is a fight between EZCA and Windows or other program.

Make one check. Set the FPS to Unlimited and check whether the shaking is still there. Then set the FPS to the 30FPS limit and check again.
