BTW... if you use my Seminole Autopilot mods, request an update for the G600 version, since the G600 has an integrated altitude preselector.

Quick question Bert about this amazing addon. I wasn't impressed at all with Carenado's "synthetic vision" that was implemented in their C172. I purchased it, tried it and got absolutely horrible framerates, even when the frame-rate limiter was set to unlimited. The frame-rates were about 1/2 of what I get in the PMDG 737NGX...

Now, seeing that this is a fully external application that uses the Garmin certified trainer and not just a modified FSX/P3D gauge that, I'm guessing the performance of this is much better? I own all of Alabeo's Planes btw.

I see no performance impact..

Absolutely incredible product, just got around to flying the Alabeo Seminole out of Valdez Alaska in visibility that was less then 1/2 mile up to 2800ft. What a superb product, the darn thing has better performance than the default Alabeo G600, even with all Synthetic Vision turned on, topo view on the 600 MFD and TAWS screen on the GTN 750.

Simply amazing, bush flying will never be the same again in FSX/P3D.

Hi Bert!

Have you made these mods to the Seneca V, with accommodation now for the G600?

Beautiful picture! Still I prefer the G600 config!

It still only supports these two acfts only?
Alabeo PA31 350 Chieftain
Alabeo PA44 Seminole

I have not seen the G600 in other aircraft, but this would be a question for the GTN/G600 support forum..

Hi,
Have you noticed any altitude differences between the steam gauges and the G500/600 ?

Not really... but what happens if you switch to another airplane?

Is the Altimeter or the G600 off?

Or check the P3D altitude with shift+Z..

Edit.. I just checked and the Baro setting on the Altimeter is off.. it reads 29.6 when it should be 29.2. The Tooltips reading is correct but the dial is miscalibrated.

The G600 is correct, however.

Is that what you are seeing?

I also answered your other post... the B key does not necessarily set the G600, you need to manually move the Baro knob..

I only use the G500/600 in the Alabeo planes and they both show similar discrepancies up to about 300ft. Whether the fault lies within the Alabeo altimeter or with the interface with the G500/600 I don't know. I must admit I'm lazy and always set my pressure using the 'B' key I'll take a bit more notice now, and cross check it with the shift+Z. Plus the auto pilot seems to take its information from the Alabeo altimeter.
I've also made similar comments on the GTN750/G500 support page too, although I mis-typed the title as GN500

After using the B key, try moving the G600 Baro knob up and down a notch or two.. suddenly the G600 will agree with the altimeter..
