Hello,
I am using FS Aspen and whenever I try to open the aircraft on which I have the gauge installed (Carenado PA34 Seneca II), I only get the autopilot gauge and the FD gauge as well as a beeping sound over my speakers. I have tried reinstalling Aspen as well as reinstalling the aircraft. I have tried to make sure any leftover files were deleted when reinstalling and also I have tried to remove the gauge and put it back in. When I open the configurator the picture does look weird and the cockpit is not showing correctly. Any clues as to what this might be? Using Windows 10. It has worked for me on Win10 previously with no isses and the internet connection for the particular PC is disconnected at all times to prevent updates from screwing up the configuration.

Please let me know if any further information is required.

Thanks in advance.

Hello ifly777,

The FSAspen is not officially supported with Windows 10 as it is an older gauge set. Your results will vary with this operating system.

You might want to make sure you have installed the Visual Studio redist of the various years to see if that helps resolves the issues.

Hello,
Okay, thank you. Are there any alternatives to FS Aspen available which is in fact compatible with Windows 10 and even Prepar3d? Haven't been able to find any. Will try with the Visual Studio redist to see if that helps.

I'm in need for an Aspen gauge my self - particularly for the Seneca from Carenado. Since this post is old, I was wondering if the OP or any one else have managed to get the gauge working in win 10 - preferably under p3d, but I would be willing to re-buy fsx if the gauge would work under win10

Thx in advance

Why an Aspen over the provided G600?

It can be made to work quite nicely with a replacement GNS430 to drive it..

No doubt the G600 has more features, but I fly the Seneca with an Aspen installed IRL,so I don't want to confuse myself too much😂

I realize this is an old thread, but was relevant to my current search so thought I'd go ahead and reply.

I am going through a Windows 10 upgrade as well.  My current setup in Windows 7 is FSX with the Carenado Seneca V, RealtyXP 530, and Flight1 Aspen EFD1000.  This setup does an excellent job of emulating the setup in my Seneca.

Regarding the Flight1 Aspen EFD1000 and its incompatibility with Windows 10, I have been doing some research and testing of the Air Manager product.  They have a number of add-ons including an Aspen EFD1000 panel and a 530W touch screen overlay that reportedly are compatible with Windows 10 so I'll be testing that option.

Has anyone else had experience with that setup?
