hello flight one...
tried to use the 'installed' panel studio', and got the 'error message' below...
reinstalled, got the same message...
what to do?
sd.

runtime error
Program: F:\Program files\FS panel studio\fsps.exe
the application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
please contact the applications support team for more information.

note:
the last time i used the panel studio program, i had the stock fs baron panel loaded, and closed the program, without closing out the baron file...
since then, i deleted the baron from fs9...
this error message is actually one of 2...
the first says it cannot load the baron file etc....then on to the above message...

I think you answered your own question.  Can you scrape together the files for the baron from the CD?

hi..
if that is what is causing the problem, then i can figure out something...
but just because i deleted one of the original aircraft from fs9, that causes panel studio not to run? the program won't boot etc...
panel studio won't run without the original fs9 aircraft installed?
thanks for the advice paul, but i kinda don't get it...
can you get a little more specific for me...?
much thanks..
sd.

FSPS is trying to load the last panel you worked on.  That is one of the options in FSPS, to open the last panel, which appears to be what you deleted.  My little problem solving brain just takes the obvious and runs with it.  I took the time to kill the beech folder (renamed actually) and the problem you speak of occurs for me, too.  Restore the folder and you should be golden, I was.  Remember to uncheck that option in the FSPS options screen.  PM if I can be of more assistance.

well, it sounds to me like you are correct paul...
and...
it does not appear that i have the wisdom to pull the baron58 off the disc...
i thought if i uninstalled ps, and deleted any remaining folders related to it, i could reinstall it, and it would possibly forget about the baron, and my deleting it...but alas, no go...
presently, i am pondering the reinstall, which makes me want to jump off the roof of the house...as that i just reinstalled a week ago...
i was thinking, if i knew someone with fs9, that probably has the baron folder in their fs program, maybe i could get the baron folder copy, and have it sent to me via e mail...?   not sure how big the file is, and i don't presently have a server available....etc...
and to be quite honest, i don't know anyone with fs9...
so, arrrrrhhhhh   .....   i think i will wander out to the garage, and get the ladder...
thanks mon...

hold it!...stop the car...!!...i think i have it...
on the way to the garage to get the ladder, i thought this....
what if....i download another baron aircraft from surclaro, or another source, and rename it to beech_baron_58....
so i did this, and it worked...! ha!....
ps is now working...
thankyou for your help mr. paul scott bartelt....YOU ARE A GOD!
(you're not related to 'allastairmonk' are you?)
he is a god also....
thanks mon...

Lets try this...

Make folder....

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\beech_baron_58\panel

In that folder, copy some other panel cfg in to it, like the default cessna 182.

FSPS will start with some hiccups...

Then uncheck the load last panel in preferences.

FSPS supports drag and drop. You can open the Windows File Explorer, find a different panel.cfg file, and drag it to the desktop icon for FSPS. FSPS will then opne this panel instead of trying to open the missing one.
