We are almost ready to release. Thought I would post this to show one last comparison. This is north of KSEA at Dusk, before and after.

Stand by for the release very soon!

Steve

Excellent! The improvement over the default scenery is incredible. I'm from the Dallas, TX area and can hardly wait to see that area with the new roads.

Hi Don,

If I get the chance I'll post a screenshot of Dallas. You guys won't believe just how good this is !

However, a little word of warning. Unless you have broadband you may need to wait for the CD. My dial-up took over 26 hours in three big resumed "chunks" to get the 330Mb. Worth it, though !

Cheers,

Alastair

All,

I too am really looking forward to this release. I'm on broadband so no problem there.

For those on dial-up, any thoughts about breaking up the product in smaller downloadable and installable chunks? I'm sure most users would like to pay, download their local / favorite area, install, fly around, then download the rest while they sleep...

Sherm

Alastair,

If you have a chance to take some shots of Tucson or Phoenix, I'd love to see it!

Thanks, Alastair! If you get a chance I'd love to see the shots of Dallas. Of course, it sounds like the product will be released quite soon anyway so if I have to wait a few days that's ok too.

And I have broadband (thank goodness) so the download shouldn't be too bad.

Are the roads accurate? I recognized this freeway intersection immediatlly, I use it every day. This is called the "Swamp Creek interchange", it's about 15 miles north of Seattle. The view shows Interstate 5, going north with Interstate 405 branching south off the bottom right of the picture. KPAE and Boeings Everett plant (where all 747's ever built start life) is the dark blob in the upper center.

This is going to be a great add-on, an absolute must-have for those of us in the states. Great job guy's for making this happen.

Roads are quite accurate. You may not see every road as wide as it is in reality (there's a limited number of road widths) or the correct material (FS can't do that yet) but you will see different width roads for different classes of roads.

You can also set traffic density (not moving, but cars represented by coloured spots on the surface which do light up at night) and can even set it to be different inside and outside towns and cities.

That is AWESOME!

My girlfriend lives on the water by KPAE there and I can follow the freeway and the roads to her house!

Another Flight1 product I have to buy
