Not sure what is going on her but it has been cycling through this for the last two hours.

You can select the VATSIM Weather Server in our Weather Download Options dialog for now, until the NOAA Weather Server is back on line.

Most likely maintenance on the server.

From the NOAA Weather Site...

Active News Items

[2018 Feb 20] Service restoration
Although the web servers are now functional, the back-end data servers are not. Still waiting on some issues to be resolved before reestablishing data flow. The last data on the website is from 1520Z Tuesday.

[2018 Feb 13] Aviationweather.gov moving to HTTPS only access

On or around February 20, HTTP access to the aviationweather.gov website will be discontinued. This will likely not be a redirect but a total shutdown. If you have scripts that download data and imagery, make sure they're using https://. Also, update all bookmarks to https://.

There are some issues with the Java applications in relationship to HTTPS access. We're working to update these applications to use HTTPS but this might not be fully functional when HTTP is discontinued. This includes the Flight Path Tool.

I will investigate to see if the new Weather Servers are online and the https service is available. If so then I will post an immediate update.

Thanks for the heads up.

The Historic data for the 20th is still available as the Cycle Data Server is still online.

I am preparing an update for everyone ready for the new https servers.
