My mail doesn't support more than 2Mb at a time...
That's why I create this ftp...for bigger things...

Try again on the ftp..

OK Bill,

I received the new models/textures..and looks ok.
You've increased the reflections on the canopy glass I see...

But I've noticed that the new models you've sent me do not match exactly with the original package textures....we'll have to repaint again using the new templates...

Thanks..

Hello Bill, guys..

I was wondering how big of a trouble would be to take out from the model that
orange "pizza oven" style of flame...
The reasons I'm asking is that is not a realistic representation for two reasons:

1.RD45 and VK1A have tubular fire chambers, inclined to approx 30 deg so when
engine is at idle you cannot see the flame at all (really guys I've tried it)
2.Something is visible when engine is in high output...but definitely it doesn't look
like this...is very transparent, with some blue purple nuances...but not so well
defined.

What do you think ?

Yes,you remember we have no chance to take pics on working vk-1a or rd-45 or even VK-1F,and can not find pics shows up working flame  style behind tail,so we reference the flame effect in model from L-29 aircraft, although we have find out it have different type engine.

the same thing happens on soundpack,we take sound from english 1950s aircrafts with nene engine working(vixon or seahawk) but no really mig-15 engine working sound.

So,If we can get resource,we will make it correct.

Here's something much closer than what it should be...even this one the light
is too strong, but is much much closer.....
And speaking of sound...is a freeware, used to circulated over the net,but know is
forgotten....that's the best rendition of a MiG sound I ever heard...not even the
payware MiG's with Peterssen sounds were able to come close, they were either
overdoing it or passing by it.
If you'll watch that video on the youtube, you'll notice that's not the sound that
came with the package....but is real.Honestly I have no idea who did that sound,
but is still the closest I've ever heard a sim sound to be to the MiG sounds.

OK,I can modify it----easy way, remove the flame shape model in models And modify the flame effect.

Yes I have notice your vedio.the sound hears like a mig-17 sound I have download somewhere ( sound clipp record on "red bull" MiG fly-by).

Unfortunately, can not find any sound resource on mig-15 or 17 engine start up or cut off

maybe we can mix sound byte for it,we will test for it.

I think that the mixing method will take you there faster...and I'll tell you why..
An ordinary microphone, cannot retrieve the full spectrum of the sounds...
From the start up procedure when you have the compression building up with
that specific "high pressure air hose" sound up to full engine regime when
basically if you are close, you no longer hear it but "feel" it in your organs..
There are a lot of good quality jet engine sounds, some of them have "elements"
suitable for "MiG" sounds, all you have to do is study them, eventually modify them,
mix them with others and you'll have a very realistic result.
Even the sound that I told you I'm using,is not complete - in my opinion the
inside "whine" is lower than it should be...but is close.

Can I send you a real video of 3.88 Mb by mail ? will you get it ?
Watch  but mostly listen...
