I'm finding manual difficult to follow
 
What does "binding" mean ? ( Should I read that as "assignment" - as in assigning key strokes for a given action?)
Examples -
"For Using Build-in VCR and Screen shot functions in FSX only. Binding default
CROSS_FEED_TOGGLE Key for this function in FSX."
I do not understand" Cross_feed_toggle" do these refer to keys ?
 
Here's another one
"Press defaults TOGGLE_WATER_RUDDER Key for eject seat firing when canopy jettisoned"
 
What is toggle_water_rudder ?
 
Excuse me if these are dumb questions but I'm confused.

Binding means define or assigning the proper key
we have define some fsx default control to custom funtional system in J-10.but need you set the key position in fs setting. 
toggle_water_rudder is WATER RUDDER HANDLE POSITION control, FSX default combin-key is Ctrl+W

Thanks Bill for that information - it has been helpful but I'm still at a loss to understand-

Sorry if i appear to have IQ of  20 but I cannot put these terms into context with Flight Sim X.
 
If you have further definition/explanation i would appreciate it.
 
Also are you able to help on my two other posts regarding -
 
1)Where is boarding ladder ? and 
2)How do I change cockpit panels from chinese to english ?
 
Would like to say that aside from the difficulties mentioned in my posts I am having fun flying the J10 ADT which looks really good !

1, aircraft on ground--set parking brake active--open canopy. the aircraft have 0 Gspd. the ladder will appear.
2, ADT aircraft have only chinese cockpit,  If you have J-10A/S from Flight1, you can copy it`s english cockpit into ADT aircraft.
 
"toggle_water_rudder is WATER RUDDER HANDLE POSITION" oops, I try to make explanation by FSX SDK . so sorry.
"toggle_water_rudder" is a fs default input event ( which have a combined keys, in default keyborad mapping to Ctrl+W or Shift+W). this event let aircraft have water rudder system can extend water rudder via press the combined keys or pull down water rudder handle to down position (e.g. the cessna 208)
 
In our J-10, we just binding(mapping,redirecting...etc) some our controls to default combined keys to gain a fast control( you just press keys, not need click handles or switchs in cockpit). so we using such events as "toggle_water_rudder" ( it`s default keybroad define control WATER RUDDER HANDLE POSITION ) as a connector to the animations I want to active.

So, you just remember the water rudder handle position key in J-10 defined to control eject seat firing.
but all fast control keys are duel control defines. you can press proper keys, or click/press/pull handle shapes in cockpit to control them.

OK  - NOW I understand !
 
I had not read about the "Water Rudders " in FSX which I see is a default command for Water Aircraft (Flying Boats).
I understand now that what you have done is simply made this the command for the "ejection seat animation"
 
Also the ladder animation works fine as per your above instruction.
