Data File Downloads Blocked ...

We have a number of Italian users who are currently being blocked from downloading our licence check data files (OpusBL.dat or OpusBL5.dat) from our BT server in the UK. I can access these files OK (part of the UNLIMITED OPERATION checks once the sim is running) from here in Spain (on holiday) and have no other reports. I have just uploaded the data files again just in case they have become corrupted.

Only users in Italy seem to be affected which indicates it may be an Italian service provider (ISP) that has blocked access to the BT server or our website or the BT server hosting it.

Could you all please contact your service provider to see if you can get our website unblocked.

If you have been blocked please let me know who your ISP is so we can check with them and with BT in the UK.

	checked with internet provider today , the problem is italy, your site has been banned in italy, for all provider any solution is not possible, and do not know 'cause you have to understand the supplier of European services, at this point so if' and 'ask the refund for the software does not make sense that I have paid for one service that does not work, let me know something of course, after you've made your checks also because 'if you can not sell the Italy vs, software becomes a problem for you look news thanks Stephen

	We will contact BT as there is no reason for our website to be blocked. It's most likely something else sharing the BT server. Anyway I will allow a manual download option for the data file so users don't have to rely on their isp. I will also add a textual download option for when the data file one is blocked. Stephen :-)

	Did you send me this ... I can see you have been in contact with the helpdesk, they have advised me they have been able to fix your website. The issue ws that the index.html page was not in the public folder, they have now moved ithe file to the public folder and the website is working again. I will add the above changes to the next beta anyway and also contact BT as this could have resulted from some other web service that shares the same server. Stephen

	I have posted OpusFSI Version 5.00.11 Beta for you to try. In this beta the OpusBL5.dat licence check data file can be downloaded manually using the hyperlink at the bottom of our OpusFSI Downloads page. This data file is allowed to be up to 14 days old to be considered valid. Hence, after upgrading the file should remain valid for up to 14 days from the time the beta was posted. To manually download, first download the OpusBL5.zip file using the hyperlink on our Downloads page. Then 'Extract All..' into your OpusFSI_v5 root installation folder, the location where your OpusBL5.dat file is located. I am now preparing a new beta that will try and overcome all future attempts to block the download. Stephen

	You must download the latest OpusFSI Version 5.00.11 Beta. Uninstall then install the new beta which should allow the installed OpusBL5 data file to be used for the next 14 days. See above posts for a reason for the problems in Italy. We are already working on another beta to try and prevent similar problems. If you can please contact your ISP and ask them to unblock our website as the data file download is part of our licence checks and Italy have blocked the download for no apparent sensible reason. 	Stephen, thank you very much for your kind answer. Contacting my service provider could be a very hard task. Like a lot of italians, I use Telecom Italia as service provider, a giant in Italy and the policies they adopt are not something a single user like me is able to change. I can contact that help desk just to check if they can forward my request to people that are able to change stuff. In the meantime, I will download the new version of Oupus FSI and following your instructions to install it. Thank you again. Massimo

	Stephen, I have followed your advices and now I have an OpusFSI v.5 beta beautyfully working. There are a couple of things I would like to ask you: 1) Is the old license I had for the v 4.500.2 valid for this new copy of OpusFSI? 2) There is a way to copy the old setting I have made in v 4.5 and transfer or copy them to the new version just installed? 	Hi Massimo, Your v4 licence is valid for a limited time (until May when the first phase of betas will hopefully be completed ?) when a discounted v4 upgrade licence will be made available. You will only be able to copy your CAM and PAN files, the configuration options will have to be adjusted manually. Regards Stephen

	I have now re-posted the OpusFSI Version 5.00.11 Beta. This version will also attempt to download the data in text form from our website and create a new OpusBL5.dat data file from it's content. If someone from Italy could try it. First, keep your copy of the previous 5.00.11 Beta. Then downloading this new variant, uninstall, and install OpusFSI_v5 again. Then run the software and post your FSISERVER.log file content. I would like to see if the Italian ISPs also block the transfer of text files. Thanks Stephen
