We have updated Instant Object Studio to version 1.02.

To download the update, click on the Start menu and select
Programs -> Flight One Software -> Instant Object Studio -> Check for Updates.

Do not uninstall the product before applying the update, but make sure Flight Simulator is not running. You can also download and reinstall the full version again.

There are following changes since v1.01:
  • Ability to import night textures from photographs and other images added (click the "" button next to Night texture in material properties).
  • In options, you can now specify the elevation used for Raise model and the scale factor used for Magnify model.
  • Bugfix: Instant Object Studio would crash if you tried rotating any part immediately after using the pointer tool.
There were following changes since v1.0:
  • The pointer tool now allows creating copies of parts instead of moving them (enable the Copy parts button in tool parameters).
  • Clicking on any edge or polygon when using the Create rod tool now aligns the next rod you create along this edge or polygon.
  • Warning about running the product in the full-screen mode added.
  • Bugfix: Non-square textures created by Instant Object Studio without using the FS SDK could cause crashes in FS9. To correct an existing texture file suffering from this problem, open the material properties dialog box and select this texture. You will be offered to rebuild the texture file.
  • Bugfix: Click to open object could cause crashes in FSX.
  • Bugfix: Moving the viewpoint with the mouse couldn't raise the user aircraft in FSX if it was sitting on the ground.
  • Bugfix: Editing with the mouse didn't work properly when the model was magnified.
