I edited the FSX A321 gauge file to fix a mislabled push button. Everything went fine until I tried to load the aircraft and FSX hung. I found the new cab file in the panel folder, along with the old one with a 000 extension.
If I extract all the XML and bmp flies from the new cab file into a panel subfolder with the correct gauge name, it all works just great. ![]() BTW.. if I move the new cab file into the main gauges folder, it also hangs FSX. Has anyone had any trouble with FSX not liking the cab files that FSPS generates? |

Just as a follow on... if I create a cab file from the contents of the subfolder, this cab file also hangs FSX.
No clue why FSX would choke on this cab file... the old one still works, but contains the CSTR labelling error. |

2nd follow on... I used the cabdir utility that came with the FSX package and lo and behold, the cab file now works with FSX. Why this would be any different, I have no idea.
