As much as I like my FSD planes, I seldom use them anymore because I enjoy using planes in which I have had my way with the panels.  I cannot figure out how to get FSD panels to appear in FSPS other than as a background with a bunch of squares and rectangles on it. Also, since you have to be using the cfg file that the load program uses, I have been trying to figure out how to access that, too. No luck (or brains?) there, either. I have gone from determination to wanting to write off all of them and back again. Now, I am about to just say "Screw it!" and take them off my drive to make room for something I can work with, and call the FSD experience an expensive lesson.

Do any of you FSPS'ers know the path to success with FSD airplanes?  I'll bet I am not the only FSD fan out here who would love to be able to play with them in a form other than pure stock.

Thanks to all for an informative and entertaining forum.

No help from the FSD site. They are solid in their support for ironclad security, which I understand, but do not agree with. So, I have bleeped all my FSD products into Z-delete heaven, and they are available in my cyber boneyard if I get the urge to use them.

That will be one question I ask before buying from now on (I bought all the FSD stuff before I got interested in FSPS or panel tweaking).

I have tweaked the panels on the Eaglesoft jets and PMDG B1900. I wonder about the other products, now - Maybe I'll look at that 421...

There's a solution.

For 2D take a shot in 1024x768 use paint program that gives coordinates and that will give you the necessary help for putting the gauges.

For VC uncheck solve dll depencies. However this method bring some problems with RealityXP gauges that need the option.

It takes some work but is possible. You can check the Navajo wx500+Flight line both VC and 2D.

Thanks, Jose. I am focusing on other things now, but I will sometimes take out the FSD planes and play with them, for sure.  They are too good to be totally ignored.  I will explore what you have suggested.

Problem solved! While I still cannot make major changes to the panels, I have found that I can make small additions to the windows containing the RXP Apollo and GNS-530. The most important change, for now, is the addition of the "NAV Source" switch to the face of the Apollo and the GNS-530.  Though a small thing, it eliminates the necessity to go to the Options Menu every time I change from one GPS to the other. That alone makes it worthwhile to bring the FSD fleet back from the boneyard.
