Heylą folks,
I am new in this forum and I already come here with a question:I have purchased FS Panel Studio, build 20218, which is supposed to workwith Windows vista too.I use Windows Vista Home Premium, and I am experiencing the followingproblem: some gauges are NOT recognized by the FS panel studio.
In particular, the following error message appears for some gauges:

XML info file "ATC icon.xml" is 0 bytes in size.

But the gauge is NOT 0 bytes in size, and it properly works in FS9 and in
FSX. It happens both with FS9 and FSX, both for default planes and for addons, both for default gauges and for addons gauge.
How can I solve this problem?

Aries,
I get that same error message at times and to be honest. . .if it works in FS9 and FSX. . .ignore the message. I have no idea why that message appears, I don't understand the need to tell me the information it does and as long as the gauge works. . .as I said. . .ignore it and go on. I'm running Vista Home Basic

Ya,
but if it does not properly load the gauges, then you cannot modify them. This program is powerful since you can quickly modify gauges, but if you can't do it properly, then the program itself becomes equal to the others that you can find on the web.

There are issues with Vista and writing to the Program Files directory, where XML gauges are extracted. The next rev of FSPS will extract into the \users folder instead. However, running FSPS as Administrator should allow you to continue working for now.

Heylą Ed,
Happy to hear that from you.
In any case, I am running the program as administrator, and I have reduced indeed my problems.
@Jimg: in order to run the program as administrator, it is enaugh to click on the icon of the program by the right key of your mouse (the icon should be on your desktop), and then click on the voice "Run as administrator". Easier to do than to explain!
