They aren't officially compatible yet, but I have been able to get FSPanel Studio to work with FS2004 by changing what FSPS thinks is the path to FS2002. I altered the FS2002 path to point to my FS9 directory by going to Options-> FS Mode and Root Directories... then changing the path for FS2002. I can't edit panels for FS2002 now, but I can edit them for FS2004. The only problem I've seen so far is that FSPanel Studio can't open a few of my XML gauges, and when installing the default Garmin GPS 500 it inserts the gauge with a 0 width, which make it kind of hard to find. But once I do I just go to gauge->properties (it's easier than trying to right click for this small gauge) then set the width to something like 40, so I can then easily grab a corner and scale to what ever size I need. It also doesn't show a background for the GPS, so it's a little more difficult to line other gauges up to it. But overall it works fine. |

FS Sound Studio is now compatible with FS2004. FS Panel Studio should be compatible before the end of the month. Check the web site for announcements!

Thank you very much 89kraus for this information. I have uninstall FS2002 to create space for FS2004. I have just installed the FS2004 and I was wondering how to use FS Panel studio with FS2004. You give the answer. So I can now wait more patiently the update of FS Panel Studio. |

Hi all, I have followed the instructions of 89krauss to make FS Panel Studio pointing to FS9 instead of FS2002: Options-> FS Mode and Root Directory C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9 When I have try to edit the default FS2004 Bell 206 panel, FS Panel Studio was unable to load the gauges files. The resulting effects appear like small purple squares (20 X 20) in the upper left corner of the original gauges. Only Simicon gauges appear as usual. Have you experienced the same behavior with your copy of FS Panel Studio? Benoit

FS Panel Studio is NOT YET compatible with FS2004. There will be an update, hopefully within a month, which will resolve all outstanding issues.
Your problem is related to the location of the Bell Gauges, which are now in the Panel folder. You can copy them into the normal Gauges folder, but there will still be problems until the update is available! |

Hello Ed, THank you for your answer. On my computer I cannot see any gauge or gauge folder in the panel folder of the Bell 206. On the left part of the browser I can see a + beside the panel folder. But impossible to show the hiden part even if in the folderr options I has choosen to show the hiden files or folders. (I am using Window XP Professional operating systeem). So for me it is impossible to try to copy these gauges into the general gauges folder. Do you know a way to have access to these files? Benoit

Good evening everybody, The upgrade of FS Panel Studio is now available at: http://www.fspanelstudio.com/upgrade.htm My first test with this upgrade is very positive. I am designing a new panel for the Alpha jet of the famous Patrouille de France aerobatic team. With the upgrade I can see all the gauges. Thank you very much Ed for this great program Benoit |
