No problem, the software has already been changed. I will see if I can get the beta ready some time this week.

I have in fact corrected a few shortcomings in the SID and STAR data access, so that the current software (next beta) will now check for every combination of folder structure involing Navdata, Proc, SIDS, STARS, and SIDSTARS folders, and every combination of .txt, .sid, and .star file extensions. I have a few more things to add and check to other parts of the interface before posting the next beta, which will include the much anticipated client side LWE control. So no real worries or problems.

I have my NAVDATA folder defined as C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\NAVDATA in OPUS flightplan option and I don't have any data available for SID and STAR report. Is that the correct directory or do I need to change it to C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\SIDSTARS

The NAVDATA is the correct folder but download and install the latest 3.12.0 beta which has the corrected search algorithm. It should find your <FSX>\PMDG\SIDSTARS folder correctly and decode the relevant ICAO.txt files in the PMDG format. Any problems then get back to me and I will have a look.

I've just set mine to D:\FSX\PMDG\NAVDATA\ and located the correct D:\FSX\PMDG\SIDSTARS data using beta 3.12.0 so it should be OK. Remember to click on Process the Flight Plan option to get it to decode the SIDs and STARs and build the report.

Great job on the iFly Stephen, works 100 percent, still one more challenge to go, a big one I think, Feelthere Wilco!! They have a folder called "nd" and in that folder a gigantic exel file with all the navigational data going from navaids and stuff up to RWY lengths and surfaces and all kinds of freqeuncies, I allready zipped it up and will send it ASAP. this folder is in c:\FSX\Feelthere\nd so not in an airplane version folder, that are all separate folders.

I don't think we will be including that since all Navigraph data is supplied in a text format and I really do not want to decode an exel spreadsheet.

You only need to reference one set of data so its no big problem.

It's to big to send anyway, tried everything but it would take hours to upload. it's only a pitty for those that only have Feelthere products.

Most people have some products that use Navigraph data so I don't feel its going to be a major problem with the SIDs and STARs. We may even provide an Opus download of the 'out of date' Navigraph data including the SIDs and STARs for users to download and install separate to OpusFSX.

Will install the new BETA and report back either way. It's late and I haven't slept yet. Thanks Stephen and Cheryl.

That might do the trick to, I only care that all of the add ons that use a cycle are on the same cycle, I don't do real world flying so I don't care for the latest cycles, I only update after installing a new add on that uses a newer cycle sort of to keep my stuff aligned.
I'm already happy that the iFly737 now works and that I can use it, buying a PMDG product only for that data would have been a bit crazy.

I have installed the latest BETA 3.12.0 and have entered in my flight plan and processed it and tried a weather update with my navdata directory set to C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\NAVDATA and the SID/STAR report still shows no data.

I repeated the same steps with the directory set to C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\SIDSTARS and the report still showed no data.

Have you looked to see what data you actually have on your system. I have just done the same and it works perfectly. I have the <FSX>\PMDG\NAVDATA and <FSX>\PMDG\SIDSTARS folders, with ICAO.txt type files in the SIDSTARS folder.

Do you have this data and does the FSXSERVER program have access rights to this data on your system. Sharing, sharing permissions (Everyone group), and security permissions (Everyone group).

You must also select the 'Reload' or 'Process a flight plan' in the FPA dialog after changing the folder location, or exit the dialog.

Hi Russian, I had a similar problem yesterday with a route foe EDDK to KSDF. I got the route from RW flight plans (free Internet) when Opus wouldn't decode it I checked the text string and it had flight level info in it. I eventually got a route from route finder Opus decoded this one without problem. Because of the amount of waypoints it did take longer then normal I ended up opening the spy window to check what was happening. When the wheels stopped churning I had a mass of available information at my fingertips, this was the first time I had actually tried the new addition, due to being away all weekend fishing at Ancaster. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. A major step forward.

Hello, I am asking the community Opus FSx it concerns the weather reports on the client PC. I have a message "access denied" on the notepad. I read the reports of PC fsx on the client PC via my network but when I press a button show puts access denied.
Regarding the communication between two PCs for all weather
  works.
I'm on W7 64 bit, I have a firewall bitdefender I authorize sharing.
If a person with the same configuration and it works he can let me know.
Flights good

That's an easy one. You must set the sharing, sharing permissions, and security permissions on your server for the OpusFSX installation drive and folder. That way the client will be able to access the files in your OpusFSX\Themes folder on your server. See the Getting Started Guide for Networked PCs for details. Note you will need to make sure you have the Everyone user group set to Full Control in both sets of permissions. The guide gives details of how to do this.

See also the LWE Client Control topic below this one.

Hello, problem solved, I have not changed my shares, by cons I removed the IP address of the PC in FSX configures FSXCLIENT.EXE by the name FSX PC. and everything is back to normal. it is better to put the name of the PC, as to its IP address.
Flights good.

My navdata directories all coincide with what you have listed Stephen. I made sure to reprocess and to force a weather update after I had changed the navdata directory and each time it told me I had no sid and stars located for the sid star report. Will keep trying different techniques.

Yes, for client side control try specifying the server's computer name (unique) instead of the IP address. Also make sure you have set your server's Networking and Sharing Centre for File and Printer sharing.

As for the PMDG SIDSTARS, check your SIDSTARS file contents, open the stations file with Notepad and have a look at the contents. You cam email me one file, just one, that's all I need to compare the format with mine.

Thanks, it looks like I've got to modify the decoding software for PMDG formats slightly, it seems to vary slightly from country or file to file. I am not decoding the SIDs in your file. I will include the fix in the next beta posting.

Cheers
Stephen

P.S.

Corrected the decoding problem so you should have PMDG SIDs data now at these airports. I will see about posting the new beta soon which includes the PLN file Importing and automatic importing when a flight plan is activated within FSX.

On my next flight I will check and see if I get any SID/STAR reports.

EDIT:I got a departure SID report. Not sure about arrival. I was over 500 nm away when I checked it. Seems to have been fixed now. Thanks Stephen and Cheryl.

Good morning, I have fsx with 737 PMDGs, I kindly ask if someone can copy the LIRN.txt file to me in the Sid and Stars folder, because mine is corrupt. Path: C/Programs/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Simulator X/PMDG/SIDSTARS,
thanks

You could see if there’s one in our default NavData.

Check your OpusFSI folder there should be a sub folder there.
