I'm filling all spaces in the registration correctly as per the instructions on the Flight1 web site but I keep getting " An unknown error has occured please restart FEX"  When I do it keeps giving me the same error message.  At this point I have nothing. CryCryCry

We are getting active registrations so problem appears to be intermittant. The error is caused talking to the Flight1 Server to verify the key.

Do we need to shut the application down or just keep hitting "Register"?

Actually hitting the register button will work just as well.

Currently we suspect that the call from FEX to the server is timing out due to congestion. We are still investigating right now.

I suspect this is due to high traffic loading on the flight one server.

Lots of people are loggin in okay and downloading stuff.

Hang on in there Mike and we'll get you going.

This reminds me of when the PMDG 747 addon came out and their server was brought to it's knees.  LOL Smile

Oh Well, I'll go watch Human Weapon on TV in the mean time.

Are you all registering the certificate number pair?

Meaning, something like:

4211233       HT9834K2

With each part in the respective boxes?

When you get to the registration screen, please enter your Flight1 Order-Number/Certificate-Number pair.

You can get this information in your email confirmation, or in the proof-of-purchase HTML file that is installed to your C:\Flight One Software folder after your purchase.

Steve

Yes, although the registration screen could have been clearer about needing both numbers.

Also, it says you can skip registration but it doesn't seem possible, there's only REGISTER or CLOSE, no means of moving past.

The screen that comes up seems to indicate the possiblility of bypassing registration, but I've yet to figure out how to make that work.

Issue should now be resolved, apologies for the problems.. this was related to coupon purchases and was rejecting the certificate incorrectly.

Still not working for me.  The error is instantaneous, not like it's attempting to log in somewhere.

I did use a coupon for purchase.

Excellent, very sorry for the delay in getting you guys registered! We are checking both on FEX code and also on Flight1's code to try and eliminate this problem from occuring for any other users.

Cry  No luck here.

I registered. Started FEX and used it. I got an error when copied the texture themes (Cant find the file 'C:\Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\FEX\Themes\OHF Themes\ohf_.xml'.).

I had to Ctrl+Alt+Spr to close FEX, because the program hung.

Now, Im asked to re-register everytime I try to run FEX, and what is worst, it says that I must choose a new name. Although the registration text says "You dont need to register", FEX does not works if you dont.

Help!
