Guys, we have a strange situation with the loading of build .65.

I suggest testing build .66 in which we changed the startup stages. This should solve the problem for those for whom the .65 build  did not work.

Also in this version we have made support for Active Sky latest version.

see images the ezca module and asn4 debug screen confirm they are in sync






Btw I use active sky on a remote PC - but that does not affect the syncing
of the software

What confuses me at the moment is what setting to use in ASN - it was recommended for ezca v2 to set the turbulence level to 35 - now I have no idea what it should be

Initial test = ok.

Note:
I am not using ActiveSky Beta.

I will wait for the final version of ActiveSky for P3Dv4.5 before testing it with of all my add-ons.

Works great but I have been having issues with Model loading in Outside view. You see a screen of the selected view within EZDok and what happens then I select outside view within sim menu in the second screen. Not to sure what to think here.. Didn't happen in V4.4? [SOLVED]

The first launch is excellent. Now the program does not work. I did not touch anything.

Still very frustrating...Installed, EZCA .66 tried to start a few times while p3d loads up as usual for me now. And stuck at  "connecting with simconnect" issue.. I wish I had bought Chase plane!!! Can I please have a refund??

Exactly the same for me.The program worked fine the first time but then it does not work even by launching after.
looking at the task manager, we notice that ezca stops during the loading of the flight.

You should not have to start Ezdok.

After the sim loads it should be in your sim's Addons Menu to select Ezdok.

If you select Ezdok from the Addon menu and it does not appear then it is behind your main Sim screen (hiding).

If so, then go to the addons menu and select Ezdok again.

It should then appear in front for you.

When you say "most of the time" ... How often is that?

Do you re-boot your PC before each P3D start up (and flight or test)?

I reboot before starting FS9, FSX, P3D or Xplane

I have never had a Simconnect error with any Flight Sim that installs and uses it.

Now, if we are both using the same Flight Sim, the same Simconnect version and the same Ezdock software version then Simconnect should be working the same for each of us.

I've restarted the application over 10 times and nothing still states "connecting to simmconnect"

Just wondering what broke from V2 to V3??

Update: took over 15 restarts for .66 to connect.

Hi, EXCA 3.0.1.66 does not work with the new update Prepar3D V4.5.
Will an update of EZCA be posible soom?

It is working for me.

Did you just purchase and install Ezdok for the first time now?

"I had this problem with the need to restart EZCA after start of P3Dv4.4 since I installed EZCA3.
On EZCA's main panel I had the message "Connecting with simconnect..." and nothing happend before restart.
Now I found that the problem comes from UTLive starting with P3D and blocking EZCA. After deactivating UTLive in the add-ons.cfg EZCA3 starts without problem.
So I tried to start both applications with FSUIPC, but at the moment they start together the conflict is there and EZCA3 is blocked by UTLive ...
This problem did'nt exist with EZCA2.

Other pilots using UTL might be able to add more information here.

But, for the current version of UTL, have you contacted F1 UTL Support?

As for starting programs with FSUIPC I do not do that.

Reinstalled EZCA3v3.0.1.66, rebooted the computer. Everything is great. EZCA works.

I'm using P3D4.5 with UTLive v1.2.0.0 along with EZCA v3.0.1.66 without issues.

In my case, I decided to format my HD's and fully reinstall Windows 10 v1809 with updated drivers, etc. Then installed P3Dv4.5 and aprox 500GB of addons, some of them needed updates but everything works perfectly fine.

These are the steps I followed to successfully install EZCA:

1. Installed from the Flight1 wrapper v3.0.1.53
2. Installed the 3.0.1.66 update
3. Ran an Antivirus scan to "C:\Program Files\EZCA" (just to be sure there's no risk)
4. Excluded "C:\Program Files\EZCA" from Antivirus.
5. Executed the EZCA configuration Tool.

          * Everytime I apply an update to EZCA, I perform steps 3,4 and 5.

I hope this info could be useful.

Yes, that is what I posted (10 April 2019) for my Win7-64 / Ezdock install, here:

Installed EZdok V3 Pro using F1 Purchase Agent , OK
Installed the EZdok V3 0165 update , OK
Cameras from EZdok v2 transferred , OK
Initial tests , OK

And, in the same thread Marniftarr said:

The base .53 version in the store of Flight1 only !
The next 62..63..65 versions - exists as updater only.
Anyway before install updater,  you must install base .53 version. 
Also you can roll back in any time to previous version.
Just run updater with desired EZ version."



Good to know your version of UTL is working with Ezdok.

Hi!

Running in the following sequence (manualy), always works for me correctly:
1. UT Live traffic
2. REX SF3D
3. ActiveSky P4
4. P3D 4 (EZCA3 autolaunch from EXE.XML).

Later in the evening I will look at the contents of my EXE.XML and publish here.

That means EZdok was already running.
Why are you having to restart it?

I looked back thru the posts and found you mentioned  "connecting to simmconnect".
Was that the reason?

Do you reboot your PC between each flight or test?

Are you testing on a default P3Dv4.5 setup without any other add-ons running?

Like:
No payware aircraft
No AI traffic
No AI traffic programs installed
No weather programs
No saved flight situation
Not using FSUIPC to start Apps

Is your startup flight is the P3D default F22 at KVPS?

the Answer is YES to all (no using any addons, traffic, etc). As you cannot replicate this problem so many of us have... once again I point out V2 worked fine for so many years with all other p3d versions. .66 does NOT work for p3d v4.5. REFUND PLEASE... I'll go buy Chase Plane and not waste any more of my time on this.
