Hi, I have a 172 with a non-standard panel. My wife is now interested in learning to fly (hooray!!!) and I would like to get a panel for FS9/2004 with the guages in the same position as my plane.  I think that would help her become more familiar with the operation of our 172.

I am looking for someone to work from a picture of my panel, I can email to you, and develop a panel to replace the panel in FS9 172, or in the Flight1 172.

I would pay a fair and resonable charge when I see it working.  If someone on this forum can point me to a tool with documentation on how to design a panel, that could also work ...

Any suggestions...thanks in advance

Hi Dave,

As you probably already know, there are two major componants to the panel, the actual panel itself and the gauges.

There is also the matter of the VC, but as these tend to be part of the aircraft Model, I would guess that you will be concentrating on the 2D panel.

Thus, as a first step, can you indicate whether you will be using gauges that already exist (in the default C172 or the Flight One version) or whether you are looking to create your own gauges ?

If the former, then probably the hardest task will be to produce the physical panel, as the arranging of the gauges with reference to a photograph of your real panel should be relatively straight forward with FS Panel Studio.

Thus, if you can provide the panel bitmap (or can co-ordinate with someone who can - ideally from a good digital photo of the real panel) I'll see what I can do !

The former. THe panel in my plane is not too different, it just does not have the sixpac layout, and the VSI, altimeter, etc. were put in different locations.

I can get a digital photo to you this weekend, probably.

Thanks!

Rack up a digital photo for all to see....

Lots of us with FSPS who might take a shot at it.

Send me a picture of your aircraft and her aircraft and the exact type of both aircraft and I'll have a look. Also tell wich parts of her aircraft should be replaced by yours.
