CDI Not Adjustable in VOR Mode

   After entering the runway ILS and approach specifics I can’t understand why the CDI isn’t adjustable to match the runway heading. I was always able to do this with non garmin 1000 avionics.  It can be adjusted before engaging the AP but not afterward. 
Once switching to the NAV radio for the GS, the CDI pointer should be settable to the runway heading for landing. Would like to understand how this accomplished with the Garmin 1000.

	Development of that free product ceased long ago. Hope you can enjoy what you have. Perhaps another user will provide some info.
