You never needed the pro or enterprise editions for the professional version for P3D Pro if you are not associated with those industries. The professional and enterprise licensed product is for those markets.

A home user can run the academic version on any version of P3D.

As was posted at the Flight1 website and in the announcement thread of this forum:

This product will work in all versions of Prepar3D. If you are not looking for support for professional pilot training, military, FAA, academy training, or, affiliated with a corporation and require that support, the Professional and Enterprise license editions are not required.

I did not guess anything. No one in the enterprise or professional industry would risk using a academic product for purposes otherwise. They know how easy and fast that can cause a major legal stink

If you ARE associated with professional side, pilot working for license, FAA training, military or private industry...  please contact Flight1 Technologies http://www.flight1tech.com/ and they will issue the appropriate license for the defined purpose.

If you are not associated with such industries the product available at Flight1 under the academic license will work in any version of Prepar3D.

Thumbs Up  It was clarified years ago.. Flight1 website and this forum:

This product will work in all versions of Prepar3D. If you are not looking for support for professional pilot training, military, FAA, academy training, or, affiliated with a corporation and require that support, the Professional and Enterprise license editions are not required.
