Download from http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/downloads.htm

Added 'Test Speed' option to Live View Test. Disabled the Landing Rate Monitor (Analysis) Popup display during Live View Tests on the server.

Added live traffic to the In-Flight Map. Traffic can be overlayed on the map by either setting the 'Show Traffic' map option or using the 'Toggle In-Flight Map Traffic' Shortcut Control option. The display of live traffic is also dependent on the 'Enable In-Flight Map Traffic' and associated 'Traffic Radius' Configuration settings.

N.B. The requested 'Traffic Radius' is presently ignored by the MSFS simulator. It is left an option just in case MS/Asobo correct the omission.

All traffic overlayed on the In-Flight Map is depicted using an appropriate Jet, Piston, or Rotorcraft symbol. The symbol also reflects the current heading of the traffic and is colour coded. Traffic depicted in Grey refer to traffic currently parked up on the ground or taxiing. Traffic depicted in Green are airborne. Traffic depicted in Red are airborne and within 2000 feet of your current altitude, hence, may pose a threat.

Hovering the mouse cursor over an aircraft symbol on the map will display information about the traffic. For example, aircraft ID, type, model, airline, flight number, current altitude in feet and airspeed in knots.

Release version.

Improved the live traffic display and general handling of the In-Flight Map. Distinguished between parked and taxiing aircraft on the In-Flight Map. The following colour codes are now used for traffic symbols on the map.

Traffic depicted in GREY are static and parked.
Traffic depicted in WHITE are moving or taxiing.
Traffic depicted in GREEN are airborne and no threat (separated by greater than 2000 feet).
Traffic depicted in RED are airborne and a threat (within 2000 feet of your present altitude).

N.B.

The 'Shortcut Controls' and 'Toggle Map' buttons become active only after the FSISERVER has established a connection with the MSFS simulator via SimConnect. If 'In-Flight Map Traffic' is enabled in the FSISERVER Configuration settings then the 'Toggle Map' button will remain greyed out until the traffic data has been fully initialise.

Validated and imposed acceptable limits for the reported (SimConnect) y-axis and z-axis body acceleration data. Previous versions can occasionally attempt to process garbage values for this reported data. These erroneous values reported by the P3D simulator could cause maths exceptions to occur within the DHM threads. All such exceptions are now trapped and processed by the program, the server program reporting all such exceptions via the Spy window.

The DHM status is now reported in the main Spy window each time the window is opened (apart from if opened before establishing a connection to the simulator). If Live Camera is Disabled and General DHM Enabled the report will look something similar to,

GEN  DHM Enabled DHM Thread ACTIVE and Running DOF Thread ON
 GEN  View 0 Camera N/A Turbulence 0 Throttle 2456

With Live Camera Enabled and a valid camera view selected the report will look something like,

GEN  DHM Enabled DHM Thread ACTIVE and Running DOF Thread ON
 GEN  View 0 Camera 4, Legacy - Captain Turbulence 0 Throttle 0

Note, the DOF Thread is only activated when DHM needs to adjust the eye point.

In addition to the above the system will detect and report in the Spy window all changes to the DHM and DOF Thread status. This can be tested simply using the simulator's Add-On Menu. Select OpusFSI Open Spy Window to display the main Spy window, then use the OpusFSI Head Movements -> Disable abd Enable DHM options. Each change to the DHM status should be reported in the Spy window.

If required you can leave the Spy window open during flight in which case you may find it helpful to set the Spy Opacity to 70 percent in the Spy window's Options.

The ButtKicker Options dialog now correctly refers to 'Piston' and 'Jet' aircraft, as opposed to the previous Light and Heavy labelling. Note, Landing Gear timings are not required as the ButtKicker software is able to use the actual gear travel position for the timings.

Added a 'Copy Settings To Other Devices' button to the ButtKicker Options dialog. This button can be used to copy all the current ButtKicker device options and settings into all three BK devices.

OpusMSFS Beta Version 1.07.0 is now available for download on our website.

Download from http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/downloads.htm

Added support for ButtKicker Profiles. All ButtKicker configuration and settings are now stored in a new format BUTTKICKER.DAT data file. As a result …

All users must re-enter their ButtKicker configuration and settings.

N.B.

If you have made changes to the default ButtKicker settings (options) then before upgrading you should use 'Alt-Prt Scn' to capture a screenshot of the ButtKicker Options dialog and save the image of your current settings by pasting into Windows Paint.

Added a 'Microsoft Flight Simulator Installation Folder' option to the Configure dialog allowing user's to specify any custom install folder location (re: the supplied help text).

Speeded up the CPFlight MCP status feedback via the MSFS SimConnect interface.

Software preserves the full configuration flight plan and weather settings after editing via the Config dialog. Previous versions could loose any modified flight plan after closing the Config dialog.

Corrected a problem in the 'Check For Updates' dialog that would wrongly say a new Beta version was available.

OpusFSI Beta Version 5.46.0 is now available for download on our website.

Download from http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/downloads.htm

Modified the FSXSERVER software to allow continued download of NOAA METARs for the older FSX and FSX Steam modes of operation.

Corrected a problem transmitting Live View Offsets from the P3DSERVER to all connected clients.

Validated and imposed acceptable limits for the reported (SimConnect) y-axis and z-axis body acceleration data. Previous versions can occasionally attempt to process garbage values for this reported data. These erroneous values reported by the simulator could cause maths exceptions to occur within the DHM threads. All such exceptions are now trapped and processed by the server program.

Download from http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/downloads.htm

Improved speed and initialisation of the CPFlight panels in an attempt to overcome the inadequate sim status events received via the MS Asobo SDK SimConnect. Unfortunately the current System Events from SimConnect leave a lot to be desired and cannot be relied upon to determine the state of the sim.

All METARs are updated automatically each time the OK option is clicked within the Configure dialog.

Improved download speed and efficiency for the VATSIM METAR server.

OpusMSFS Beta Version 1.08.0 is now available for download on our website.

Download from http://www.opussoftware.co.uk/opusfsi/downloads.htm

Added 'Weather Update' and 'Monitor Destination' buttons to the In-Flight Map Options dialog.

Added both 'Sizeable' and 'Fixed' format Station Monitor windows to the In-Flight Map Options dialog. The preferred format (default Sizeable) is specified within the In-Flight Map Options dialog.

The Station Monitor window is displayed by double-clicking on the base of the required Airport/Aerodrome marker in the In-Flight Map. The Station Monitor can also be toggled on and off display either via the Options dialog or by assigning an OpusMSFS Shortcut in the Shortcut Controls dialog (see below).

The Station Monitor window aids flying the FS2020 sim by allowing the Destination (or Departure) to be monitored, showing all known details about the airport, including available runways and all communication frequencies, along with any nearby Met Station data (METAR) if one exists. The data associated with the closest Met Station within 64 km (40 miles) will be displayed. All Met Station data is updated whenever new METARs are downloaded.

On start up and after the In-Flight Map has been displayed for the first time (initialised) the Station Monitor will be automatically primed with the destination airport as defined within the current flight plan.

N.B. In the future the Station Monitor's SIDs and STARs buttons will simplify the selection of departures and arrivals prior to programming the G1000/G3000 units.

Added a 'Weather Update' button to the OpusMSFS Configure dialog.

Added a 'Toggle Station Monitor Window' button and key options to the Shortcut Controls dialog.

Reduced the footprint of the Landing Rate Monitor (Landing Analysis) popup window.
