Hello,

I have the Avidyne student interactive simulator together with the Reality XP 430 running with FSX.

As I want the simulation as realistic as possible I want to add an ADF gauge and DME radio but really don't know whether this is possible.
I read about FS studio panel which makes it possible to add gauges or panels.
Together with the Reality XP 430 there was a transponder, audio panel, autopilot and ADF radio delivered so I'm just missing the ADF gauge as I have the radio to tune the frequencies.

Do someone of you knows if it should be possible with FS studio panel to take an ADF gauge and an DME radio from for example the Cessna 172 and put it in the PA28 of the avidyne simulator? I was thinking to swap the standby altimeter for the ADF gauge and to swap the GTX default transponder for the DME radio.

For your information; I'm not very familiar in this subject so....

Anyway, thanks in advance

Hi,

By Avidyne, I assume you mean this:

With FSPS you should be able to carry out a direct "swap" of the two gauges, especially if the gauges you're replacing are the same size and dimensions as their replacements.

Thank you for the reply.

That's indeed the Avidyne software.

I'm not quite sure the 'new' gauges has the same dimensions but I suppose you can adapt it to the previous gauges' dimensions in the FSPS.

I saw the price of the FSPS is just 25 USD so this will be certainly worth its money.

Thanks again

This is really amazing!!!

Posted the previous post about a half hour ago.
In the meantime I purchased the FSPS and was able to swap the standby altimeter with the ADF without too much effort. Started the FSX and selected the aircraft and waited impatiently to see whether is was going to work.
I was really surprised to see it was working!! What a tool!!

I'm really happy with this result.

Thanks again for the reply.
