I've come to the V2 party late but I would like to upgrade my US, Canada, and TAC versions to V2.  I understand that there is a generous coupon discount that I can use to purchase but would appreciate advice on the best way to install these new versions.

Specifically, I presume I should uninstall the old versions first.  Is that correct?
I'm running DX10 FSX with I need to patch?

I'd also like to upgrade my GEX packages and I'm assuming I should install AFTER UTX. Correct?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you should uninstall the previous V1.x UTX versions before installing the V2.x UTX versions.

The only patches specific to Acceleration is the mini object repositioning ones. There is nothing for DX10.

If you are also upgrading GEX, yes, it would be best to install after UTX to save on one run of the GEX configuration tool.
