Using FSX with latest upgrades. After my computer upgrade a few months ago everything was working properly. Have not made changes to the cfg file but have added scenery. Everything still fine. Suddenly I notice no auto traffic. (air traffic ok)
On the settings page customize> then global settings >custom > road vehicles as high as 100% and there still is no auto traffic. Somewhere I must have done something. Any suggestions where to look? Thanks Joe S

What scenery did you add? If you disable it is the car traffic back? |

Katy, I added a few Megascenry sections. But that was manybe 4 weeks ago and it worked fine after that.
I disabled all scenery and still no vehicles. I then reset that area to default and again no vehicles. There is probably something hidden somewhere that I did something to and dont know where to look. Thanks Joe S

1. Backup fsx.cfg to a safe place.
2. Delete it from the C:\Users\<your account name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\ folder.
3. Did'ja follow step 1? If yes, continue. If no, well continue anyways.
4. Restart FSX and let it build a new FSX.CFG
5. Check traffic.
6. If this worked, then set all your other settings back the way you want them.
7. If it didn't, just restore the original FSX.CFG and we'll continue looking for answers.

Luap. I changed out the fsx.cfg and auto traffic showed up on the "major" highways but not any of the secondary roads. I'm going back and reread NickN's FSX instructions and see if I can figure it out. If I cant I'll be back.

Roads and traffic are not automatic. You can have one without the other. FSX couldn't handle traffic on every road.
