I notice one of the members is using version 1.3. Where is that available? (I have version 1.21 on CD).

Also, mention is made of file QLR4UT. What is it and where is it available?

Thanks

Look in the following thread http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=19685

Details are available in the UT FAQs area but also see www.qlrp4ut.com

Version 1.3 of UT USA for FS9/2004 is now available from the Scenery Solutions download page.

Downloads for all FSX products can be found at:

I am using FSX sp2 and have it installed to my C drive- the patches cannot find the correct path to install to and I can't seem to find where these are supposed to install. It tells me there are no files in the location to patch. I have read the documentation and it does not address this issue.

The UTX patch applications will read the windows registry to get the install location of FSX.   If they cannot locate the TERRAIN.CFG and FSX.exe files in this location (essential FSX files), then the patch applications know that the path is invalid.   In that case, you have to override the path using the browse button.

You might try using the windows search utility to look for all locations of the FSX.EXE file on the C: drive.

If you are still having trouble, show us a screenshot of patch utility that is failing (with the path displayed).    With the screenshot, we can make sure that we are talking about the same thing.

False alarm- I've just learned that the patches are NOT for FSX. My bad. Thanks for your help with this.

Is there any way to determine which patches have been installed in your program?  I have so many patches in very many add-ons that I have trouble keeping up with them.  I suppose one way is to keep the downloaded patch files in a folder and assume that you have executed them.

The UT or UTX Setup Tools will normally tell you the current version either in the title bar or under a menu option which tells you the version.

Hi Folks,

Newbie here. Just downloaded & installed UTX & patches to 1.31. Do I need QLR4UT?

Are there any suggestions as to where to start with scenery sliders? I have an i7 PC & an Asus 5850 video card so I have sufficient horsepower.

Is there another program that I should be using with UTX to give me better (real life) views? I'm mostly interested in the Teterboro (KTEB) area as I'm learning helicopter control & won't be wandering much from this area in the forseeable future.

Thanks...

John T.

I have just posted about the same subject so glad I'm not alone in not understanding if we need it for UTX-USA.

As noted on the Flight1 product page for each of the UTX products, object repositioning is included, and therefore QLRP4UT (or equivalent) is not required.
