I got a problem when I click the tool button after opening inspector. It gives me a "Unhandled exception" error. Here are some details.

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Please let me know below what I can do to fix this.

Hi Mathew,

I'm thinking, 'access denied' to random, unknown file name at that location,

Try turning off your anti virus and try again. see what happens. or maybe clear out the temp folder first.

Just a guess,

Ron.

Huh....wow it worked.

I don't understand why anti-virus would do that.

Thank you!

Hi Mathew,
glad it worked, lucky guess, as to why?

I have noticed a lot of Malware recently that targets the Appdata\local\temp folder. In order to try and fool the anti virus, they use randomly generated file names.
Quote 'c:\Users\Matthew\AppData\Local\Temp\gyg7swyc.dll' -- 'Access is denied

You're antivirus has been keeping up with this, and is now looking for random files in these locations and reports them as 'suspicious', or just blocks access.

It's doing it's job, unfortunately, a lot of the 'good programs' also use this method, as in this case, and it's now neccessary to turn off anti virus when installing some things.

First time I've heard of it with Inspector though.  Did you put the inspector files on a drive other than the C: drive?   might be why, I'm not sure.

No problems with NI.
it should work fine on any other drive,  I only read the first part of the log and it was attempting to write to a temp file.   The issue was the anti virus blocking it.  what I was thinking, maybe it is more thorough when the source is from outside the os.( C:drive )

I'm really not sure why, but as long as it works now,

Ron.
