Hello

I am not sure if I have "SimConnect.xml" installed on my computer.

I have just upgraded from XP to WIN7 Pro 64 bit and I  have just reinstalled FSX

Does FSX install this file as part of its installation??

Where would I find this file on my computer??

If I do not have it where would I download it from??

Please help,

Larry/Shirley

simconnect is part of the install. Addons that use it such as weather engines will tie into it. They usually provide a simconnect.xml

Sorry to bother you again,

Is there any place I could find a reference to simconnect such as in exe.dll or elsewhere"

I am questioning whether I have this file. I am having problems registering FSUIPC and cant get PLAN G to connect as well. Since I have had to reinstall FSX in WIN 7 pro 64 bit once already I am concerned about my installation.

Hi,

Why not try the FSUIPC support forum over here: http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54

Pete Dowsown gives excellent support on problems with FSUIPC!

Hope you get the problem solved!

Thanks for your reply,

I have been in contact with Simmarket FSUIPC support and am trying to correct problem with them. Below is an excerpt from FSUIPC install list

"Now checking for a SimConnect.XML file ...
... No SimConnect.XML file found. This is okay."

What I am mainly asking for help for is to verify that I have SimConnect installed on my computer since I will need it for other programs I wish to install.

So my question is how can I confirm this file is on my computer, is there a file I can edit to confirm it is there. I have had problems before with FSX installation to WIN7 Pro 64 bit before and had to reformat my drive and reinstall.

You can install/reinstall Simconnect using the stand alone installer without wiping anything...

http://www.flight1software.com/files/SimConnect.msi

run it, and Simconnect is installed
