I have a queery for the F1 Library Admin.
I have the C162 Skycatcher and because I like to
ocasionally repaint an aircraft, I downloaded the
paint kit for the C162.
Spent several hours "painting" and finished the job.
Saving the end result to DDS files I found two things,
the base layer had to be flipped vertically to save to the texture
folder in FSX. However the wing layers where already vertically flipped
in the paint kit, which gives some funny results on the final paint
in FSX. So I flipped the wings within the paint kit, which is now correct.

The second question is, can someone in admin. explain how to "save as"
the final result to DDS? Normally all layers are flattened, but I can't see how this is done
with this paint kit because of the "Base" layers, "Wing" layers "Line layer and "Shade layer.

The end result looks o.k. however the pilot and co-pilot appear as though
they are in deep shadow. They show as silhouettes. See photo.

  Can someone there advice please?
Best regards, Jaap.

I am not familiar with painting this aircraft. Perhaps someone else can give some input. She looks good though. I like the KLM scheme.

Thanks for your reply Jeff, and thanks for liking the scheme.
The KLM actually has an aeroclub in various places in the Netherlands.
I copied this scheme from a Cessna 172 at Schiphol.
Do you think you could have a look at the paint kit
and maybe find an answer (or two) This is doing my head in.
I would really appreciate it.
Best regards, Jaap.
