    Posted: March-02-2014 at 5:15pm
Hi guy's,looking for a bit of help here. Bought this Helitraffic sofware several day's back,it seems to load all ok but NO show within FSX menu AddOns.
The software is loaded correctly into C:\ProgramFiles(x86) HeliTraffic 2009 Folder.
I have run it several times but no joy!
Also run the ModuleInstaller again no joy.
I have FSX GOLD running also SDK applications installed.
Also FSUIPC installed and shows in the Addons Menu when fsx running.
I have trolled through everything i can find within the forum to see if i've done anything wrong but not sure.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bill

Could you please look into the Heli Traffic log file to see if any errors appear there?

The log file would be located in the folder

C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Flight1\Heli Traffic 2009 and called HeliTraffic2009.log

Your dll.xml is correct (otherwise the HeliTraffic log file would not appear).

Please search the log file for any lines containing the string SimConnect and post them here.

It's probably an example file from the SDK.

The cause for the missing menu is that the module cannot connect to FS via SimConnect (the error is in the log file you posted).

If you have a firewall installed on your PC, can you try temporarily disabling it to see if it helps? (disconnect your PC from the Internet while the firewall is disabled)

However i have disabled and shut down all firewalls and tried to load up 'helitraffic', but to no avail. I removed all traces of my McAfee and tried to reload but nothing.

I would try to re-install simconnect, and then try. Mostly that would solve the problem with this, i never had any problems with mine. Works just fine, so just remove simconnect, and then restart computer, re-install simconnect, then try again. that should help.

Hi Guys, firstly apologies for excessive delay in getting back with information. Well i NEVER managed to get ‘Heli-Traffic’ working, but noticed this!
I have ‘BigFoot-Network Killer’ running as part of my system and noted that when i removed it i.e. Uninstalled it and then run FSX then and only then would Heli-Traffic work.
However with the ‘BigFoot’ uninstalled i lost all access to the internet and NO network adapters !!!
Does anybody have any ideas to what may be going on?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

First of all: What type of computer / desktop setup do you have? What brand?
Drivers can be downloaded and installed, but you said you have no connection to internet, how did you write this post? Via another computer? Well, provide us with your computer brand and hardware installed, then we will try to give you some links to drivers you can download.

Have A Nice Flight!
