![]() Topic: Ultimate Terrain Issue Tracking SystemPosted: 11 May 2005 at 11:26am |

I am pleased to announce that we have implemented a new issue tracking system today. This is a commercial grade system, and will greatly speed up our tracking and implementation of new issues. User's can track issues online, and even run reports. It's very flexible and user friendly. The new system will replace the "User Requests And Reporting" forum. If you need feedback from Scenery Solutions before posting an issue in the new issue tracker, then post your messages here in this forum. The issue tracking system is for known issues with Ultimate Terrain. This includes visual issues that others can see and duplicate. For help with CTD's, performance issues, 3rd party conflicts, or other problems that may be related to your particular hardware or software setup, please use this public forum. The public forum will help more with these kinds of problems, because you can receive advice from a much larger group of people. Before posting in the new tracking system, you will need to capture the aircrafts latitude and longitude from the FS2004 screen. This will need to be entered into the new issue request in a specific format. To capture the FS2004 latitude and longitude showing the issue, press Shift+Z from within FS2004. The lat/long will be displayed then in the upper left part of the screen. You should probably write it down before exiting FS2004.
Here are the instructions for creating a new issue in the new system. First, access the Elementool login page: http://www.elementool.com/services/loginPage/login.aspx Enter the account name as "Ultimate Terrain", the user as "Guest" and the password as "fs2004" as shown below:
You will now be taken to the welcome screen (which is not setup perfectly right now). From the welcome screen, select the "New Issue" tab.
You will then see the New Issue form as shown below. Your title should be something that other users can key on, to reduce duplicate issue postings. Before posting your issue, you can run reports to view other reported issues (select Issue Report). Your name will be helpful (full name or forum user name), as will your email address if we need to contact you (but the Email is not required). What is required is the Latitude and longitude. This must be entered in the exact format. The "New Issue" form below will give you a template to work from. The importance of the lat/long is that reports will be generated, and passed to other automated applications, which will help us track problems faster.
We are trying to streamline our processes for addressing open issues. This is the first step in that process. If you have any questions about the new system, feel free to ask.

I tried posting a problem. But not sure it showed up. The only areas that show up are related to Canada/Alaska
