Hi,

Firstly, I love the fact that the PC12 has 2d Panels! Def' a one up on others.

I have installed the PC12 after many years of neglecting it. Everything seems to function normally... untill a peripheral sound plays!

For example, say I test the Pusher or Fire warning, the sim comes to a grinding halt, the sound is broken and the computer 'stutters'. As soon as the audio has finished, the sim goes right back to normal. It also does it whenever there is a verbal warning coming from the female voice.

The engine, flap and landing gear ext/ret' sounds sound good and don't cause a the same problem. I had tried looking for the troublesome .wav sound files in the sounds folder, but couldnt locate them - which makes me wonder if the sounds that are built into the gauges...which are causing a problem?

I haven't seen this problem in any other aircraft I run. I have tested both my onboard soundcard and a external USB sound card - same problem. I haven't purchased any other F1 aircraft to compare.

Windows 10 64bit
i7-6700k
32gb ram
SSD
GTX 1060
FSX:SE.

I've read a couple of different threads but the problems mentioned are just not quite the same.

Thanks!

Is this the FSX version? If it is the FS9 version then that may not work right on Windows 10.

Other than reinstalling the PC12, and updating sound drivers, I am not sure what the issue can be. I think sound stutters are usually software drivers.

If it worked for you on Windows 7, and then you upgraded your PC to Windows 10, then it is likely an incompatibility with your sound drivers, Windows 10, and the PC12.

Thanks Steve

As far as I'm aware, it is the FSX version.

-Re installation made no difference.
-Realtek sound drivers updated - no difference.

It used to work fine on Windows XP SP3. The computer I'm using now is a different PC with a fresh install of Windows 10.

It just seems interesting that it's only doing it for sounds that I can't find in the 'sounds' folder. All sounds for the PC12 in the sounds folder function normally within the sim.

I'll continue investigating and let you know if I find anything.

Hello
I have exactly the same problem with these sound activated stutters, using WIN 8.1.
The product was acquired a few months ago for full price ...
Any remedy found?
Thanks for your reply!
Eric

Kind regards
